For a dorm, it's not that bad. Depends on your standards. If you're coming here with fairly low expectations (which you should, since it is, after all, one of the cheapest dorms on campus) then it's fairly nice. There are a few consistent complaints I have though: 1. Due to recent renovations, the water seems to go out fairly frequently. 2. When the water isn't out, the water heater (particularly in the higher level floors) is largely non functioning. Showers are usually intervals between freezing cold and lava hot. 3. Fire alarms seem to go off far more frequently than at other dorms, I've noticed. I'm not sure why. 4. The elevators are past due for evaluation and it shows. They're incredibly slow and often times break down. If you're looking for a cheap dorm that isn't notorious for bad times... Eh, this is one of the better ones, but you're much better off with Stangel/Murdough. This dorm isn't as bad as Coleman is, but it's not great either. It's the same quality as any of the other bottom-tier dorms: not great, but not terrible. As for the good things... Pros: * The location is conveniently in between the library and the Commons. * Hulen/Clement, Coleman, Chitwood/Weymouth, and this dorm are all tied as the cheapest dorms on campus. * The dining area inside the dorm has convenient hours. It stays open until 11pm most nights and 10pm at the latest. The same can't be said for Hulen/Clement next door. * Even if you don't like the dining options, the building is right between Hulen/Clement (which offers an All-You-Can-Eat buffet) and the Commons (which offers top quality food from various cuisine styles). Ultimately it's up to you if the pros outweigh the cons, but I'd say it's a fairly average experience.
