The Villas at Montrose

Absolutely unacceptable and dangerous. Management blocked BOTH stairways at the same time due to breezeway painting for more than 24 hours, even though they are the only access points to residents’ units. There was no safe path provided at all. That's a violation of fire code. I tried to get back to my apartment, fell because of this unsafe setup, and suffered multiple injuries and wounds. This is pure negligence and a serious safety hazard. Residents deserve better than this level of incompetence. Update: The property manager, Michelle, called the following day. She kept stating that no one else reported the same issue (which is an excuse that they used for all the issues), and the painting would dry within 30 mins. It took them more than 24 hours (48 30-min) on weekdays to remove the tapes from all the entrances. Michelle said that someone would follow up on this, but no one did. When I applied for this apartment, I asked for a quiet unit. I asked Stephenie on the tour if Piggy's next door was noisy, and she said it was not. The Piggy's made a loud noise (50-60 dB in my unit with all the windows closed) every weekend from noon to midnight. I complained the night I moved in, and the management said that no other complaints had been received for the noise.

I love living here! From day one, the staff has always been super attentive and efficient with everything. They are always promoting activities and improvements in the building. We have absolutely nothing to complain about!!! We even recommend the building to our friends!
