My stay here was extremely disappointing for several reasons. The property advertises “transparent communication” regarding check-in and check-out, but that was not my experience. I did not receive check-in instructions until I contacted the property myself after 12 p.m. on the day of arrival. The same thing happened at check-out. The listing states that check-out instructions are sent in advance, but again I had to reach out to obtain that information. Because this is not a traditional hotel and there is no front desk, timely communication from the property is essential — and it simply did not happen. There was also NO communication that the pool was closed or under repair at the time of booking or prior to our arrival - and the pool was one of the main reasons we selected this property. Unfortunately, the communication issues were not the worst part of the stay. The condition of the unit itself was unacceptable. The room appeared poorly maintained and looked like a “landlord special,” with crude repairs to issues such as water damage, exposed duct work, and patched drywall. Where things were not poorly repaired, they were simply broken. The TV, the remote, and the main ceiling light in the room were all nonfunctional. The most concerning issue was the cleanliness of the linens. There were long black and gray hairs in the towels and on the pillows, and the pillowcases appeared to have makeup stains that had not been properly cleaned. This made it feel as though the bedding had not been changed between guests. All of these issues were reported directly to the property and also through Expedia. Despite multiple requests, the only action taken was bringing new pillowcases. None of the broken items were fixed during the stay — even something as simple as replacing a light bulb was not addressed — and no meaningful effort was made to resolve the situation or compensate for the problems. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage others to take the negative reviews seriously. The property was poorly maintained, cleanliness was questionable, and the response to reported issues was minimal. I travel to Houston frequently for business and will not stay here again, and I will be advising colleagues to look elsewhere.

I stayed here while returning to Houston for my dissertation defense. The apartment was clean and well-equipped with nearly everything you might need. I especially appreciated the electric adjustable desk, the comfortable couch, the large TV, and the convenient location close to many great restaurants and bars. I would highly recommend this place.

The apartment I rented at Mid Main was an unbelievable value for the upscale environment and trendy yet classic decor. I was staying here whole i closed on my condo and accidently booked the room 1 less day then necessary. I was at the title company when I got the message that they were at the apartment to clean it up for the guests that were arriving that day. I was mortified, but they went above and beyond and were able to accommodate me another night and the guests that were arriving in another apartment on the same property. I can't thank them enough. They are very easy to communicate with and super fair.

It was a pleasure dealing with Anna before, during and after our stay at Houston Midtown location from October 30th until December 3rd 2025. we were on a medical visit to MD Anderson Cancer Hospital. All thru our stay she has helped us whenever we had any questions regarding payments, apartment issues or anything else we needed. We really thank her for all the help she has provided us and made our stay comfortable. We will definitely stay again on our next medical visit. Thank you. Mohammad Yousuf.

The worst hotel experience I have had. The main entrance is hidden inside a confusing maze of corridors, and once you finally reach it, you are forced through an additional check-in process that feels completely unnecessary. Unlike normal bookings through Agoda, they make you repeat pointless questions, upload your ID again, submit facial biometrics, and pay an extra deposit even though the stay was already paid in full. The room is cold and unwelcoming. Concrete floors, no warmth, and the water in the shower never gets truly hot. In Houston December weather, after standing outside waiting for someone to answer the phone at the entrance, this is unacceptable. The pillows are oversized and uncomfortable, so expect to sleep without them. Random people ring the doorbell to the apartment at night, which destroys any sense of privacy. The dryer barely works and needs two or more cycles just to dry a few pieces of clothing. And the final issue: you will hear MICE at night. Scratching sounds, running noises, and if you are “lucky enough”, you may even see one. Overall, a terrible stay from start to finish. Not recommended.
