Lived here for about a month now and have enjoyed it! Trent and the management team respond quickly and are happy to get any issues sorted out. The location is great, right next to the heights hike and bike trail!

I moved to Standard because it is right across street from best pickleball place in Houston (Elite). All in all, leasing process was easy and professional, it’s clean, neighbors are nice and often interesting (some athletes, reality show stars, stunt men), chill vibes, pool is fun in summer, rent is slightly below market. About to renew. Only knock is the garage policy where they have a tow truck driver who has access at all times and cherry picks guests. I got towed at 1 AM (on a Fri night) after buying a new car and not registering the info quickly enough. Just a bad look for an otherwise classy fun place to live.

After living here for 4 years, I was charged over $1,000 for move out fees. Previous management only charged $200 deposit for move in but now it’s about $700 and don’t expect to get it back. Normal aging of an apartment is expected over that amount of time, yet management treats it as damage. They charged $500 just to patch small holes from curtain rods and repaint, and another $500 to replace a whole stovetop for 1 scuffed burner. Keep in mind burners that are impossible to keep scuff-free over years of normal use. This is not damage, it’s standard wear and tear. What’s worse is that they refused to provide third-party invoices or proof of repairs, so there’s no transparency or accountability for these charges. Be aware: you will likely not get your deposit back. Looking through other reviews, this seems to be a pattern, not an isolated incident. On top of that, there is a long-standing mold issue in these apartments, which have had problems since they were built. (Look at other reviews) Overall, very disappointing experience. Renters should proceed with caution and document everything if they choose to live here. You can be a great tenant and will still get screwed over when you leave.

Wanted to write a quick note on this place. Lived here for almost 3 years now and enjoy the location and amenities! Trent and Reena have been exceptional to work with, staying attentive to things on the property and know their tenants! When I have a request, Trent helps out making sure things are done in a timely manner and follows up to check on the fixes. Great team all around! Glad to renew!

Love The Standard. I moved here in January 2023 and have been very happy with the location, the amenities, the management staff and how well the property is kept-up. When I first moved in, there were some security concerns (based on the reviews at that time, but as I learned, it was an isolated and targeted situation), but the previous management responded by installing garage doors and security cameras and no issues have occurred that I’m aware of. Since then, the current management has been highly responsive and communicative regarding events and issues concerning the complex. They also hired evening security staff and assigned parking permits, which has helped with the use of inappropriate/non-resident parking in the garage. They also organize food trucks and resident gatherings/events. The maintenance and cleaning staff are so wonderful; they are professional, pleasant and efficient. The gym and the pool are one of the best that I’ve seen and the complex is an extremely dog friendly environment which is second-to-none. I really like the modern design and great floor plans. The location is perfect because it’s close to a wide array of food venues, shopping, bike/walking trails and is only a few minutes from I-10.Highly recommend.
