Being a resident of the Ashford Community, we are satisfied with the maintenance services the maintenance team has been offering. They are quick to fulfil maintenance requests usually within a hour or two and besides they always try to fix the issue in the best way possible

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with how my security deposit was handled after the conclusion of my lease at Ashford. My lease ended in October. In early December, I received written confirmation that my security deposit checks had been mailed. Weeks passed and nothing arrived. After multiple phone calls to community support, I was repeatedly told the matter would be escalated to the leasing manager, yet no follow-up was ever provided. At that point, I had already relocated to another city. In order to obtain clarity, I drove more than three hours to visit the office in person. During that visit, I was informed that Assistant Manager Maria had been holding the checks rather than mailing them, despite my forwarding address being submitted in writing prior to move-out. I was then instructed to resend my identification and forwarding address by email. I complied immediately. Two additional weeks have passed, and I still have not received the full amount owed. To date, I have only received $179 from a secondary deposit. My original security deposit of over $400 remains outstanding without sufficient explanation. This situation reflects a lack of communication, accountability, and procedural oversight. Written confirmation of mailed funds that were never sent, combined with prolonged delays and the absence of proactive resolution, raises serious concerns about internal management practices. I was a resident for four years and consistently met my obligations. I expected the same level of professionalism in return. The handling of this matter has fallen significantly below reasonable standards. Prospective residents should ensure all documentation is preserved and follow up diligently regarding financial matters. Senior leadership may wish to review how security deposits and former resident communications are being administered to prevent similar experiences in the future. Apt#61

This is a great place to live, office manager Jennifer was so helpful and friendly. She went out of her way ti make sure I was happy and taken care of. I also had the opportunity to meet Richard the lead maintenance, he was very helpful and knowledgeable. It feels great when you have people like these two running the property. You know things will get done right away.

This has been one of the worst rental experiences I’ve ever had, and it is entirely due to the leasing management specifically assistant manager Maria. My lease ended on October. I received written confirmation early December that my security deposit checks were mailed. Weeks passed and nothing arrived. I called Ashford Community support multiple times and was repeatedly told the issue would be escalated to the leasing manager. There was never any follow-up. Because I had already moved to another city, I was forced to drive over three hours just to find out what was happening. Only then did I learn that Maria had the checks the entire time and simply did not send them out even though I personally provided my forwarding address in writing in the management office. After that visit, I was told to email my ID and address again so the checks could be mailed. I complied immediately. Two more weeks have passed, and I still have not received my security deposit. I lived at this property for four years, paid my rent, and followed every rule. Being treated this way after moving out is unacceptable. Maria’s lack of communication, failure to follow through, and complete disregard for former residents is unprofessional and reflects poorly on Ashford’s management. If this is how Ashford handles security deposits, I strongly warn anyone considering living here. Senior management and ownership should seriously review how Maria is handling resident matters, because this level of negligence is not acceptable.

Maintenance is also available on site and takes care of requests quickly and efficiently. The community is peaceful, quiet, and well-maintained, which makes it a great place to live. Special thanks to Mr. Alam and Mr. Ali for their continuous support and cooperation. Their help truly makes a difference and is greatly appreciated.
