Janet worked very hard to help us get into the home of our dreams. She was wonderful to work with during our entire home buying process!

Avoid this builder at all costs. They seem to target first-time buyers, especially those moving from out of state, rushing you to close quickly only for you to struggle afterward. All three of my neighbors, including myself, have had terrible experiences after buying homes in this community. I purchased a new build hoping for peace of mind, at least for the first year. Instead, it’s been a nightmare. So many things are wrong with this house, and I honestly question how this builder is even licensed.

Avoid these builders at all cost. They sold me one of their homes, and a year later sold out the remaining lots to a mass-produced inferior home builder, the value of my home plunged 70,000. Not to be trusted. Perhaps you can explain why I spent 345,000 on my Village Home two years ago, and now three DR Horton homes on Lake District, sold for 289,000, 299,890, and 294,996. And these are the list price not the net sold price. So this is now the comparables I have to work with to be able to sell my home, when you add in the closing cost, that is an additional number cost. Numbers don’t lie, and the truth was told.

*Updated* Original 5-star post is below. After a year and a half in the house, we still have warranty items on the house that have not been fixed. Huge time sucker dealing with Village’s Warranty Department and getting them to call contractors and get the promised work completed. After living in the house for more than a cup of coffee, you realize corners that were cut throughout the house. Example, our backyard landscaping was never level or evenly sloping away from the foundation. During heavy rainfall there would be up to 5 inches of standing water just off our patio. After asking multiple times for them to come do dirt work and re-sod, their solution was to cap a gutter with a drain which did not fully fix the issue. One of many issues, safety issues none the less. Also, some doors don't stay open or fully shut, HVAC throughout the house isn't regulated so furthest rooms from furnace or AC fluctuate significantly, corners cut 100%. When they pitched us on the house, they said our kitchen was unlike any other house and no other house has the island color our house would have. Turns out the Village home directly across from us has the same kitchen and island color. If you’re buying a Village Home, have an inspection done once the foundation is poured, during framing, and right before you close. Get everything in writing. They sell you the house and move on to more builds, same with most builders. The small business feel was a good front. Original post below: My wife and I were nervous in purchasing our first home. However, Village Homes made the process extremely enjoyable as Jill and Miranda are great people. The construction of the house is second to none and the warranty department/Village are efficiently working to fix minor issues in the house. Very pleased and not planning on moving for a while!

I absolutely love my Village Home. Building a home can be a very stressful process and I was so thankful for the direction and guidance from everyone involved at Village Homes. No matter who the home builder is, there will always be minor problems that arise all along the way. However, anytime I had an issue, it was addressed in a timely manner and my builders (Kenny & Jill) saw to it that these problems were fixed appropriately. I cannot say enough good things about my sales associate Miranda Chan. I figured after I purchased the home she would no longer be in the picture, but she continued to check in on me all throughout the process and even spoke up for me on multiple occasions. After moving in, the team at Village Homes continues to check in on me from time to time to make sure everything is going well with my new build.
