My family and i moved in about a month ago, and we are very happy with our experience so far! The apartment manager Norma is wonderful to work with. She went out of her way to help us get our application approved because of our unique income situation and replaced our carpet AFTER move in when we had a conversation with her about it not being in a better state after being cleaned multiple times. After move in maintenance was prompt and very helpful, and the whole process of moving has been made easier by the staff here. We are very grateful to have found this place!

I've been living here for 7 years. I moved here in 2019 I was approved for Section 8 so I choose Desert Villas because water was included in with the rent and there is a pool. Management has never been good the many times it changed hands in these 7 yrs. I was about to obtain my CDL Class A and because a bus driver but then COVID happened. Section 8 stop paying there portion leaving me responsible for a $4800 balance. I PAID DESERT VILLAS $4800. in one lump, not payments but with a money order for the full amount. They took it with a smile. I wasn't trying to skip out or anything. Im an honest person. I had respect for this place where I called my home. Trying to make the best of my situation as we all do. It was what It was with Section 8 and COVID. I then find out a short time later I needed a total hip replacement. DR. said it was bone on bone. I tried alternative methods like cortisone shots and physical therapy for two years putting off surgery. Trying to hold on to my job. But my hip got worst and I lose my job anyway and my insurance because I can't preform regular job duties due anymore. So I relied on gig work Doordash, instacart, spark to make ends meet. Rent is $1050. Plus $105. When it is late. I've had to pay late every month for the past year so they made an extra $1260. On me for the past year. I'm struggling but I keep going. I finally got the total hip replacement surgery September 9th 2025 in hopes to get my life back on track, and then I get a NOTICE from the office from Ms. Norma stating she will NOT BE RENEWING MY LEASE and I need to give up the apartment by January 4th 2026. Not only am I recovering from surgery and having to learn to walk again I am now being forced to find a place to live, and during the holidays. This can't be happening right now. If I'm having issues before surgery how can you be so evil to want to kick me out on the street right after surgery. What a way to kick a person when they are down. I dont bother anyone and I don't cause trouble. I stay to myself. I believe Ms. Norma has some sort of problem with me personally that has nothing to do with business because it doesn't make dollars or sence to me. Don't waist your $$ or time. You'd think by it being income based they are here to help you.

Horrible management! They never do their job right. Take forever to take care of a maintenance order or don’t do it at all. They are more worried about blinds and pets or parking permits than what really matters like the A/Cs not working properly. Always have an excuse not to open the pool even though is part of our amenities as tenants. Not to mention they are always rude.

Yes they are income based. The staff not the best, took 3 weeks to fix a leaking bathroom sink faucet and pipe. The carpet is so old, has stains all over and they refuse to change them. Previous tenant had pets and the smell of urine is horrible, yet the manager said it is what it is. Most of the people leave windows open or have fans because the AC does not work. The apartment get so humid, yet they say everything is fine. There's no one to care for the maintenance around the apartments so there's always trash and the stairs are all stained and just gives a bad impression. We were showed the model which was nice, yet we get one thats is smelly and nothing was cleaned or fixed. There's only one maintenance guy for over 100 units, so yes they will take forever to fix stuff. The gym consists of three treadmills. A lot of cats, but people don't seem to get on your business so that's a plus. Look elsewhere before signing a lease because the manager will act all cute and all but then she forgets about everything that has to do with the complex.
