I submitted my 60-day written notice to the leasing office on 03/20. The office initially refused to accept it, stating that I was required to complete their internal administration notice form in order for the notice to be considered valid. After I emailed the notice, I was then informed that I would also need to physically deliver it to the office during business hours. Unfortunately, due to frequent work travel, appearing in person during office hours is not feasible. Per my signed lease agreement, the governing notice requirements are outlined as follows: • Section 4 (Lease Term / Renewal): Requires written notice to terminate the lease and states that if no specific number of days is modified in the lease, the default minimum written notice requirement applies. • Section 25 (Move-Out Notice): Requires tenants to provide written move-out notice in accordance with Section 4 and the lease terms. • Page 1, Box F (Notice Requirement): Establishes a minimum written notice requirement for lease termination, defaulting to at least 30 days if not otherwise specified in writing within the lease. At no point does the lease state that notice must be submitted using a proprietary office form or delivered physically in person in order to be valid. My written notice was timely provided and fully complies with the lease agreement. Additionally, I noticed that my unit still has not been listed as available online. I would appreciate clarification regarding why the unit has not yet been marketed despite my notice being submitted. I would also like to point out that under Texas law, a signed lease agreement is a legally binding contract governing both parties. Internal company policies or administrative preferences cannot override or impose additional requirements beyond the terms agreed to in the executed lease. Great place to live!! Always quiet !!! My kids love playing outside !!! Maricella and the maintenance always have a great attitude and always make sure everything I need is done !
