I’m honestly counting down the days until I can move out. I should’ve listened to the bad reviews. In just 3½ months, it’s been nonstop issues. My apartment was dirty on move-in, they didn’t provide the required trash can, and my keys didn’t work for the gym or amenities even after “activation.” I reported a smoky dryer, and they first said they’d replace it, then claimed they mixed my apartment up with someone else’s. Even after confirming the smell, they only want to look at it for five minutes. The bee nest on my patio still hasn’t been removed either. The staff is unorganized and nothing ever gets fully resolved. Save yourself the stress and don’t move here

I would give 1 star if possible. I’ve lived here in the Viridian for two months now. Upon moving in, the apartment was not clean at all. My parents and I had to sweep, mop, clean the bed, chairs, fridge and everything else, and that is just the state that the apartment was in. The dog section behind building 4 as well as the rest of the property have an incredible stench from the several piles of dog feces all around the property. The gates have been broken for 3/4 of the two months I’ve been here meaning, you’ll be paying to live in a gated community, whom’s gates will NEVER protect you. Multiple machines in the gym are broken. The maintenance is terrible, there has been multiple wasp nests on all three of my patios since I’ve moved in.

If I could give less than one star, I would. Living at The Viridian has been nothing but stress, disappointment, and unprofessional treatment. From the moment I moved in, my unit had serious problems: roaches, bugs, water damage, mold, clogged sink/toliet, damaged floors. My air conditioning went out for weeks in the Texas heat, and instead of treating it as a priority, I had to stay with a friend because the apartment was unlivable. Despite submitting over a dozen maintenance requests, the system only showed two. When I confronted management, Hailey (the property manager) dismissed and discredited me — I even have her on video being disrespectful and unprofessional. At one point she told me, “I can’t control mother nature” when I was dealing with serious issues in my apartment. On top of the maintenance failures, the way management treats residents is unacceptable. On the very day I was moving into my first apartment, I received a call that my mom was in the hospital. She tragically passed away, and I spent several days at the hospital and with my family grieving. When I returned to drop off the standard move-in condition forms a little late, Hailey’s response was: “For future reference, I’d make sure to get these papers in before anything happens for future apartments.” She said this directly in front of my dad, after hearing about my mom’s passing. Instead of showing compassion, she chose to make cold and disrespectful comments during one of the hardest times of my life. Her unprofessional behavior didn’t stop there. She has ignored my messages, blocked me when I asked simple questions (like how to properly turn in my keys), and provided no communication on essential procedures. Even though Viridian knew weeks in advance the exact date and time I’d be moving out, (August 31st before 8pm to avoid September rent), I received no instructions on where to drop off my keys or how to finalize my move-out. That is basic communication any property manager should provide. To make matters worse, when I asked for corporate’s phone number to report her behavior, she gave me a fake number. That says everything you need to know about the kind of “management” you’ll deal with here. When noise complaints or incidents happen at the complex, management is impossible to reach. They are simply unavailable when residents need them. On top of it all, I was charged a relet fee after living here less than a month, despite all the unsafe and unhealthy conditions that were never addressed. This was my very first apartment, and instead of being an exciting milestone, it turned into a nightmare. I’ve dealt with unlivable conditions, lack of communication, disrespect, and unprofessional management. If you value your health, safety, and peace of mind, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere and avoid The Viridian.

Update: I'm so happy to report that shortly following this review, Hailey Johnson took action and made sure that my daughter didn't have to spend the weekend in a hot apartment. She worked overtime and a compressor was replaced. The apartment had cooled back down to normal by Saturday. Hailey Johnson was hired fairly recently, and she has replaced the people we've had terrible experiences with in the past. I think she will be a LOT more helpful to future residents. I give Hailey 5 STARS. The rating stays the same for the owners of Viridian. Their reputation seems to be negative across many of their locations. Best wishes to Hailey! I hope Viridian's lack of standards doesn't cause so much backlash on her that she has to shoulder the stress she doesn't deserve. I'm often skeptical about reviews, but I want to put this warning out there to anyone considering The Viridian. These negative reviews are absolutely our experience, as well. It's August 1st, and my daughter's AC stopped working a week and a half ago. It is currently hotter inside her apartment than it is outside. They installed one window unit for a 3 story townhome, and it barely brings down the temperature. Her bedroom is on the third floor, and heat rises, so she can't even sleep. She has been staying with a friend when she can. After 9 days of nothing being worked on, today they fixed the breaker that was broken. They left the door open from her garage to the interior of her apartment, and it was 91 degrees according to her thermostat...but at least they gave her a window unit, right? It turns out that now the compressor has stopped working. At 2 PM, I was told that the woman who handles these issues was painting in an apartment. She would probably return the call in about an hour making it 3PM on a Friday, but a compressor needed to be ordered. I had zero faith that anything would be done to make the situation right during the last 2 hours before the weekend. Keep in mind that nobody is available on the weekend to do anything. You can't even get your mail. It was my stance that there would be no ordering of a compressor. They could go to Lowe's and pick one up today. In the very least, they need to install a second window unit. As of 3:15, I haven't heard back from them and don't know if I will, but don't pay $1,800 a month to be freezing all winter and burning up all summer. Their buildings are cheap, you can hear people in the next apartment cough, it was so disgustingly dirty on move-in day, and maintenance is a joke. But they have plenty of times to post on social media about how much fun they're having and how hard they work.

Wow, there is so much I could say about my time living at Viridian. I genuinely hope that the new residents that recently moved in will have a better experience than I did. To start off, living here was just plain embarrassing. Imagine you invite friends over and they must walk past mounds of dog feces, unkept landscaping, and a green pool. Walking back and forth from my car to my unit every day I had to hold my breath to keep from breathing in the smell of dog poop. I was unable to use the pool I was paying for in the community fees until July of 2024. The gym just recently got AC; most of my time there it wasn’t working. The gate, meant to be keeping me safe, only working for about ½ of my lease. The reserved spot I paid $25 a month for had its “reserved” marking so poorly painted on that my spot was taken almost every time I would go to park in it. When I moved into my unit, it looked like it had never been cleaned. Hair all over the baseboards, the toilet clogged, a hole in my bedroom door (which was never fixed no matter how many times I complained), the floor peeling up, etc. A few months into my lease I got a leak coming from the ceiling above my bathtub. Whatever liquid was dripping down left a giant stain in the tub. I was told by the leasing office my tub would get replaced, which never happened. My last month living there, ants began emerging from the balcony into my apartment. I contacted the leasing office, and they told me I’d have to wait until the last Friday of the month for pest control. I was already going to be moved out by then. Due to the number of ants, my roommate and I had to move out weeks early. There’s probably more I could say, but I feel this covers most of it. All in all, DO NOT MOVE HERE! Edit: Contrary to what the response from Viridian says, I did NOT move in early. Originally that is what I planned to do, but I moved in on the original move-in date and never officially signed anything. I made the decision not to move in early due to the agreement I was going to have to sign. The unit was meant to be cleaned and ready for me. Update- No, I did not sign a lease agreement to move in early. If the leasing office was capable of organizing their files they would see I moved in on time with everyone else. There was no excuse for my unit to be so nasty when I moved in. It’s been almost a year since I left Viridian and let me tell you…other apartment complexes are capable of doing the bare minimum. Move literally anywhere else.
