We have lived at Timberlinks for 8 yrs. We love here. The staff is very nice especially Joe the maintenance man. The manager Esmeralda and her staff are very nice and they listen to any problem that you may have and they will take the time to solve it. It's also very easy access to 35 and Walmart Target. The golf courses amazing the pool is very nice and it's very fun during the summer the hot tub is very nice too the gym could use some improvement.

If you care about your health and well being, I would reconsider. I really did not want to post this right now as I am still a current resident trying to give another chance for this place because it is a very nice place with good friends and neighbors. But now with one issue after another and staying here for less than a year, I need to speak out about my experience as a resident here. So first thing we noticed when moving in, we were toured a unit with a secret patio which includes a door from our living room and private space from our neighbors. We were told it was around $1600 for a 2 bed, 2 bath w/ secret patio, we move in and we only got the 2 bed, 2 bath but without the patio. (Still paying same price) It's fine, we are still grateful as we have been looking for a new place for quite some time and this place is a lot better than most areas I used to live in. Things are good for the most part of the first year, no complaints, we had to deal with broken appliances that ended up getting fixed or put into the work order so we weren't responsible for damages. Where things started feeling doubtful was this summer in June/July, where our AC had went out for a whole 2 weeks in the hot summer. We called after the 2nd day as we thought it was just a maintenance thing going on that would be fixed very soon, even some of our friends who live here were going through the same thing with their AC as well couple years back. But we did not hear anything after 4 days when we called their office to request for maintenance to come. I was hospitalized overnight because I am very prone to heat strokes and having to live in 87 degree apartment is not good for my health. They finally gave our units window ACs to work with until they can get it repaired, but that just made me worry for my neighbors and ourself. At this moment, we have now been with a broken fridge for almost 2 weeks, our maintenance was rescheduled twice and we already lost over $150 worth of groceries with no offer to reduce rent or compensation for having to reschedule many times. It also makes me very uncomfortable that someone was murdered here few months ago and seemed as if it were trying to be hidden from the local news. So yes, this is just a caution for anyone who decides to move into a nicer complex, this place does have its pros, but I do not feel valued here as a resident, we have been paying rent on time every single month since March 2025 but now we wish we could've taken this money to a business that cares about their people.

I had the best experience coming in and getting the opportunity to work with Ms. Layla. She made everything so easy and was so helpful when it came to learning about the property and everything that it had to offer. I couldn’t have asked for a better leasing agent and tour experience. I would recommend asking for and working with Layla to anyone!

Overall, I have had a very poor experience living here. Negatives: very negative and unfriendly work staff, bugs, unkept apartments and repairs, unusable amenities, poor living conditions, cheap repairs, unprofessional maintenance team, terrible landscaping upkeep. I have lived here for 3 years and have never been able to use the sauna and they have no initiative to fix it. Never have changed mulch around my apartment while I have lived here. Had to call city of Denton to force Timber Links to fix my unsafe stairs. I have been told to do unsafe repairs myself. The maintenance team here will do anything possible to avoid making your repair or spending needed resources. I have been told by one of the past maintenance managers that he didn’t believe that my heat wasn’t working during the winter. I wish they had people who actually cared about doing a good job or had resources to pay qualified people. If you are looking for a nice place to live DO NOT come to Timberlinks. Save your money and go somewhere else!! Positives: friendly neighbors, a place to live After thoughts: Timberlinks has no current renovation going on from a current resident standpoint. It could be a nice place to live but the property would rather pocket cash than support the residents who live there. Edit: Since leaving this review Timberlinks has had some positive changes! This includes cleaning up around the apartment complex and friendly and professional manners from the maintenance and front desk associates. Also, one thing I forgot to mention is how I appreciate how engaged Timberlinks is with its community with different community events. Additionally, I left out of my previous review of how the current maintenance manager, sadly I don’t know his name, is very kind, friendly and professional, (not Aaron), sorry. I also really like the new pool supplies and consistently working hot tub. If Timberlinks continues to display these standards I will improve my review to 5 stars. The changes still needed are: -fresh mulch around the complex -fixing of broken/ trashy garden fixtures -fixing sauna -continue to show professional standards in the front office and by maintenance staff. I will also add some updated photos so you can see the differences and the areas that still require attention. Edit: Timberlinks sucks again.. I have never met people care care less about doing a good job or keeping professional standards. Recently I have had to put in a work order around 10 times and I still don’t think it has been updated yet. Keith the office manager will give you the run around and false information, I guess that’s their standard. I’ve talked to Janue, Layla and Esmeralda who all came across as condescending and unprofessional, especially Esmeralda. Let’s talk business. The hot tub is a luxurious urine green I’ll attach a photo. I didn’t use it one time this year. The sauna should be called trasha because it’s been trash the four years I’ve lived here. The landscapers do a pretty terrible job and do half of the job they used to do, with cutting overgrown shrubs back. Additionally they always skip around our building and have never mulched our area once. This will finally probably be the time I do not renew this lease. I was really hoping Timberlinks would get it together but they haven’t. Especially after having murder in the office they work in, sitting there for weeks unknown it was there. This complex just puts sketchy and unprofessionalism into luxury it is a joke. It’s almost like they go out of their way to hire the most ridiculous wannabe divas. I have never seen somebody professional work here.

I was really hesitant to leave a 1 star review before this experience because I enjoy the golf course and the community here. The internet service has been out for over 12 hours now and there is nobody that will answer or return my phone calls. This internet outage is urgent for me because I make my living via remote work. Additionally, the leasing office has removed the leasing office's door handles which appears to be an attempt to discourage residents from entering when they require help. I've been unable to work for 5 hours now and this is totally unacceptable.
