I am glad they have helped me. But once they give you a extention you get 5 days and out you go. I just did mu 5 days with teal bad weather coming this weekend. I asked the lady that checks people in evening. She said I would be at t je bottom of the list to stay. Why bother right? But God is great as I went to fort worth to hold a sign to get a sleeping bag. A man gave me 700 dollars saying he hoped it would help. God is good.. Thank you salvation army for turning me away

This Salvation Army in Denton is amazing. The entire staff from front desk, to the back office really do care about helping the less needy. The kitchen staff cooks great meals for the clients who stay here every single evening. Yummy 😋 😋 The 3 security guards who work are awesome and make sure the this place is a very safe place to stay here. Thank you to the entire staff for your kind services.

They are a good shelter. They allow you to stay for 5 nights every 14 days. They offer IWS on extremely cold or super hot nights. They have a great Social services staff.

Guess I should be grateful, I had a mat to sleep on, out of the heat for five days. June 2025). Not treated respectfully until the last day. They kept the A/C at 71° and provided one and one only sheet like blanket. Everyone was freezing, literally, winter coats were worn by staff and others. One thin very small towel, shower, hot water, bathroom in a room with three bunk beds, only three beds were used in my room. I was blessed with two roommates that were working-they were long term. Place was kept clean inside. Lots of "junk" food donated, so, donuts for breakfast, or dinner. My five day stay I had two good meals. But I didn't know I could tell them of my diet restrictions. It might have helped, a little. Breakfast wasn't served one morning without notice.
