The UNT Dallas School of Law opened in the former Dallas City Hall building in 2019 after a $71 million renovation. The building, now called the Dallas Law Center, is a historic landmark located at 106 South Harwood and features restored original elements alongside modern law school facilities. History: The building served as Dallas City Hall from 1914 to 1978 and holds significant historical importance, including its role in the events following the assassination of JFK. Renovation: The $71 million renovation preserved historic features such as the grand marble staircase and lobby, while adding modern classrooms, auditoriums, and a courtroom.
