The Summit Apartments

This place is an absolute joke. I refused to pay additional charges after discovering BLACK mold in my apartment, and instead of addressing the serious health concern, they chose to send me to collections. That tells you everything you need to know about how they treat their residents. Rather than taking responsibility for unsafe living conditions, they seem more focused on squeezing every dollar they can out of you. When you move out, expect a list of off-the-wall fees that make no sense. They will nickel and dime you for anything they possibly can. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. No one should have to deal with mold issues being ignored and then be punished financially for standing up for their health and safety.

Living here has been a frustrating experience. Management often looks for reasons to issue “non-compliance” fees; even leaving forms blank and filling them in later. Security is a major concern. Cars have been broken into, catalytic converters stolen, and windows shattered, yet little to no action is taken to address these issues. The front gate is frequently broken, leaving residents without the safety it’s supposed to provide. Maintenance requests are rarely handled properly. Issues are dismissed as “normal wear and tear,” but when it’s time to move out, residents are charged for various upgrades or replacements that should fall under routine maintenance. The leasing office has a very high turnover rate, and communication is inconsistent and it often feels like no one is on the same page. The laundry facilities are another ongoing issue. Many of the washers and dryers are constantly broken and never repaired. One washer in particular leaves clothes soaking wet. Additionally, residents often leave their laundry sitting for hours even though the app notifies them when it’s done. Theft of baskets and detergent is also common, so be sure not to leave anything unattended. Overall, this complex has potential, but the lack of management accountability, maintenance reliability, and basic safety measures makes living here more stressful than it should be.
