I had been looking for an apartment complex for several months in early 2025. By a post on Zillow, I found Renaissance at Preston Hollow…the perfect location and complex. Thanks to Isaiah Rogers, leasing agent, I toured the various size units, I found my perfect 2bed/2bath apartment, at the price I could afford. I have been enjoying living here since May 2025! Beautiful pools and gathering options at the office…where social functions have taken place! The maintenance team is very responsive to any needed repairs. Great place to live! Thank you Renaissance Team! Michael

Andrea at Renaissance at Preston Hollow was wonderful. She greeted me with a warm smile and positive energy, listened attentively, and answered all my questions. She truly made my day. The community is beautiful and well-kept, with a great location and an amazing team. I highly recommend this community!

This complex is mediocre. The problem is not the apartments, but management. Management is incompetent. They rarely answer office calls and we regularly had issues with payment processing, maintenance, and construction. Construction isn't just about loud noises and road blockages, those are just the obvious problems. There were times I was delayed from leaving my apartment because workers were working on my door. Sometimes workers would show up on our patio unannounced. They're friendly enough, but it was uncomfortable to see people looking into my apartment window in the morning. When maintenance came, we couldn't tell the difference between hammering and knocking, so maintenance tried to force their way in! I could have anticipated their arrival, but there's no notification system in place for if maintenance is on the way. And management does nothing about it because its not their department. Finally, after having moved out, I accidentally overpaid my final dues but the property company refused to return the money, revoked access to my account and won't elaborate on whether charges were made. All they will say is its not being handled by onsite management, which is unacceptable.

I wouldn't wish this apartment experience on my worst enemy. When we signed our lease, we were told the construction would be done by Summer 2024. It is now almost Fall 2025, and the construction is unbearable. There is constant construction noise starting at around 7:30am and lasting until 6:30pm Monday through Saturday, making it absolutely impossible to work from home. The workers randomly block off exits and entrances, so you never know whether you will be able to get to the gym or parking garage. Both pools have been closed all summer, and yet the management has made absolutely no effort to accommodate the residents. They have been completely unreceptive to requests and cannot give any actual answers about when construction will end or what the construction workers are even doing at this point. We have had multiple maintenance requests go completely ignored for months. And management thinks they can slap a bandaid on the problems by offering residents a breakfast or a car wash after years of apathy. Oh, and if this hasn't convinced you yet, the buildings test the fire alarm systems almost every two weeks at random hours, so you may wake up to screeching. This apartment has provided anything but the luxury living it advertises. My best advice, look elsewhere.

I have lived at the Renaissance on and off since 2019. Once Grey Star took over, it has been a nightmare. Even before the construction started, my ceiling fan was hanging on by one screw, there was an exposed outlet in my closet, and my shower has been leaking for the past month. Currently, there is construction at the apartment and they have drilled through our walls, broken our windows, and caused damage to our personal property. This occurred while I was in my apartment!! It is a health hazard! I called numerous different numbers and management could not be reached until the following day, and even then, they only responded after I had to beg them to come to my unit. Priscilla and Taylor failed to even respond to my emails from the weeks before regarding overcharging me for trash valet for the past 6 months. This is the worst apartment I have ever seen in my life and it is completely inhabitable, but no one at the front office seems to care. In fact, when I complained, Priscilla brought in the construction supervisor into the office who proceeded to tell me that I should choose between having a fire hazard or having a flooded apartment. As a tenant, I should not have to encounter either. I did not want to resort to writing a review, but I cannot seem to have anything resolved. I am paying for an apartment, yet I do not have a safe home. Edited 2/5/2023 During the freeze that occurred in Dallas the week of January 30, 2023, our windows and walls were improperly sealed due to construction damage, so we were exposed to wind, rain, and ice inside our apartment. Gutter water also soaked into our carpet and has created an unbelievable mildew smell. I am updating my post because I cannot reach anyone to resolve this issue promptly. Emergency maintenance even told me to wait until Monday. Why have emergency maintenance if you can only reach them during business hours? When I sent an email on Friday during business hours to both the manager, Priscilla, and the Grey Star Regional Property Manager, Denee Davenport, both emails bounced back with an automatic reply that they were out of office. This is not the first time I have not been able to reach someone with an urgent issue. Management was not available, yet they expected me to allow 4 CAMP construction men to enter my apartment with less than 2 hour notice. Save yourself the stress, protect your health, and stay far away from this place. I wish I did.
