Manchester State Thomas Apartments

I’m a new resident and I just moved in. I am completely in love with this property! Everyone in the leasing department is amazing. Especially River! He was very helpful during the process for me and I’m extremely thankful! Also Dru, who works on site maintenance, has been wonderful and attentive to minor things that needed done after I moved in! I am so happy to be a resident here!

Manchester’s location is impossible to beat. The park is just steps away, and the surrounding neighborhood is easily one of the best in Dallas. The community feels safe, vibrant, and walkable, with plenty of great restaurants and coffee spots nearby. The staff here truly sets Manchester apart. They’re always friendly, attentive, and willing to help with anything you need. Chase is always quick to answer questions and make sure everything runs smoothly, and Frida has been incredibly helpful on numerous occasions. You can tell they really care about the residents. All around, it’s an amazing place to live. Between the location, amenities, and genuinely welcoming team, Manchester is the best spot in State Thomas!

Living at Manchester has been the worst experience ever. The townhome itself is GREAT - the neighborhood with all the activities is great but Manchester itself is horrible. We have asked for a regional manager to call us - never got a call. We have had work order tickets set for months...literally months and then when they do come they bring the wrong items. Our downstairs office has flooded because of the air conditioner over 5 times now. Not even kidding. We asked for a solution and they literally could not give us one. We were told by emergency maintenance now that they could not service us after hours. We have literally water falling from our ceiling and they can't come until "tomorrow". They put on events like mingle with maintenance so you can ask questions - I don't want to mingle. I just want all of our problems fixed with the unit. We pay out of pocket for 90% of issues that go wrong because it's faster and urgent and we want it done right. At this point we are having to contact our lawyer it is that ridiculous. We expect everyday minor issues here and there but to have your townhome flood five times - to have items ruined - to have water falling from your ceiling and messing with your electrical and your just told they can't come is mind blowing and poor customer service especially when you pay over $5k a month and your treated like this is a Section 8 community. So disappointed.

EDIT 9/23: the team at Manchester called me same day as my review was posted to schedule maintenance and apologized. I appreciate them working to get us in quicker on the maintenance schedule but the maintenance team still did not show up until hours after the scheduled time and only because we called to inquire where they were. We appreciate the maintenance team for fixing as many issues as they could that day! 9/19 While we love our individual apartment unit, the property management company is abysmal. Here’s a list of everything that was broken when we moved into our unit: - air conditioning (it was 83 degrees for a week inside our apartment) - garage doors (neither was properly set up to our door opener and that’s the only way you can enter the garage externally) - fridge ice and water maker did not work - patio doors would not open - master bathroom fan sounds like a rocket taking off (still not fixed) - every sink and tub was clogged - every light bulb was a different color or shade of white or yellow - holes in the wall and chipped paint everywhere - we only have one gate fob - blinds are broken - sink sprayer doesn’t work - door bell didn’t work Work orders have been placed for all of these items but nothing gets completed unless you walk to the front office to request something is done and even at that you have to wait at least a week for service. For the price, I would expect higher quality in the units and better service.

Living here at Manchester has been a great experience, not only being in uptown and within walking distance of the park and restaurant/bars, but also the staff being involved with residents. From pool parties to breakfast with maintenance. It goes a long way. I’ll recommend it, always.
