I’ve lived here for 4 years and regret it most days but just haven’t had the time to move. If you’re an incoming medical student, don’t move here!!! There’s constant noise and maintenance issues that can take months to resolve. I’ve noticed that issues usually aren’t fixed the first time and they have to keep coming back or they’re fixed in a very janky way. Units have old appliances and fixtures and I’ve asked for things to be updated and they’ve said no BUT they try to go up on my rent by huge amounts every year. The new management is slightly better than the last but upper management at the regional level is atrocious and unprofessional. There’s so much dog barking and community “improvement” projects that take weeks to complete and have minimal benefit. So much of the projects they spend money on could be avoided by just hiring proper security at night. Instead, they pursue projects that inconvenience residents - like installing a huge bright light meant to illuminate an outside area directly adjacent to my window by my bedroom door. I’ve lived in one of the townhouses and thought the noise would be decreased due to minimal neighbors but you actually get exposed to a lot of the community maintenance noises. In all, I’ve had months of invasive construction and repairs done on my unit in the time I’ve lived here and as soon as it was finally fixed once and for all, the construction only got shifted to the rest of the complex. Additionally, the gym and pool facilities are lacking compared to surrounding complexes and your money would best be spent elsewhere.

I lived in one of the townhomes and overall had a mixed but mostly positive experience. Maintenance was very fast and responsive, which I really appreciated. Like some others have said, the new management team is proactive and clearly working to improve the property. I’m sure there’s a lot of “clean up” to be done so they are trying. One of the biggest positives was being able to live in a townhome at a good rate. I had much more privacy/space than an apartment for less than typical luxury apartment pricing. During move-out, I was initially charged almost $400 for a damaged part on the microwave (that I did not cause). but Stephanie was helpful with resolving my concern. It reminded me to be THOROUGH in those move-in checklists. Cons: When I moved in (under different management), the townhome still needed repairs and additional cleaning. Water damage, rusting appliances for example. The unit and appliances were outdated (may have renovated now idk), and there were drafty areas which caused super hot (especially upstairs) or super cold temperatures and led to a high electricity bill since the unit had to work so hard I’ve seen and heard homeless people walking down the private drive & behind the townhomes but I never had any run-ins with them.

I feel horribly because I’ve lived here almost 7 years and had not completed a Google review to my recollection. I need to speak on the changes I’ve seen with new management. Our new manager, Janelle Rogers, is amazing. The. Lobby and managers’ offices were a very unwelcome place for quite a while. It no longer is. Janelle manages with an open door policy; listening to all ideas, feedback, and input. She’s initiated very creative gatherings to help foster a sense of community, which has deteriorated drastically In past years. We are neighbors and we should know each other for safety and for a joyous and peaceful place to live. She’s also worked hard to improve the property. Power washing hallways, stairs, trash areas, painting, trying to keep the property running smoothly… I’ve run into her in the hallways and Elevator almost as many times as I’ve seen her in her office. Stephanie and Azar round out the awesome team. In terms of maintenance, I must highlight Keenan Littlejohn. He is extremely responsive and addressed numerous issues in one visit. He’s also always a smiling face along with Ernesto around the property. Community. Lastly, in reviewing some of the comments regarding this property, I noticed a lot of complaints about roaches. In the years that I’ve lived here I’ve seen two; one years apart from the other. I immediately called the front office and they sent the exterminator and I never saw another roach. I’m not sure what the specific circumstances are for the other residents, but I don’t understand why they have that issue to the degree reported. When you see the first bug, call! To be fair, there has been issues with the homeless, but no home burglaries or attacks etc that I’m aware of; they hit the storage units/cars when the weather is bad. I’m convinced that someone lets them in; it a secured building/parking. Further, Spartan Towing is predatory.

I’ve lived here for three years and honestly, it hasn’t always been the best experience — but things have really turned around lately! The property looks great, and the new manager is so kind, easy to talk to, and really seems to care. You can tell there’s been a big change for the better, and I’m actually excited to renew my lease and see how much more the community improves!

Peter with maintenance did a wonderful job replacing the heating element in my oven. He was very professional, respectful, friendly and efficient. He said he's a floating maintenance tech helping other MAA properties in the area when help is needed. I hope he visits our property more often. Thanks for helping me out, Peter!
