If you are reading this review, please take this as your sign from God and do not move to this property, or any of the Ambo properties. It was under different management when I moved here initially, but since this complex has been managed by Yolanda, it has become the worst apartment complex I’ve ever lived. I am writing to warn any and everyone about the unlivable conditions that I have been forced to endure at Lancaster Urban Apartments. These issues have persisted for far too long and have caused me significant emotional and financial hardship. First and foremost, the amount of trash and filth in and around the complex has made the living conditions unsanitary and unbearable. This is compounded by the fact that, despite always paying my rent, I frequently receive letters of eviction placed on my door. These eviction threats are unjustified and have added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation. When I first moved here, the complex did not allow pets, but since the change in policy to accept them, no proper accommodations have been made. There is no designated pet park or adequate grassy areas for pets to relieve themselves. As a result, there are small patches of grass around the complex that are overwhelmed with dog waste. Worse still, the hallways and common areas are frequently covered in dog feces and urine, creating an unbearably filthy and unsanitary environment. Walking down the hallway, the stench of urine and feces is overwhelming, and there is a constant risk of stepping in dog waste and inadvertently tracking it into my apartment. In addition, the car next to mine was broken into. Constant car theft, leaves me worrying about my car. My car was recently towed despite my having signed up for the required parking arrangements. The towing incident forced me to pay an unexpected $200 to retrieve my vehicle. Despite following the directions for parking, I was blamed by the management for the tow, which is entirely unfair, given that I am a leaseholder and followed all the necessary steps. The most critical and distressing issue is the severe roach infestation in my apartment. I have hundreds of little bitty baby roaches everywhere. This infestation has taken a significant toll on my physical and mental health. I can’t sleep, I’ve experienced weight loss due to stress and not eating properly, and have been plagued by constant anxiety and depression. The stress of living in such conditions is overwhelming. Despite my best efforts to address the issue by using sprays, bombs, and other methods, the roaches persist because the management has refused to take meaningful action to resolve the infestation. The situation has become so unbearable that I no longer eat in my apartment or purchase groceries, as any food brought inside quickly becomes contaminated. This forces me to eat out every day, which has caused a substantial financial burden, making it difficult for me to keep up with my bills. Each morning, I must put my clothes in the dryer before work to ensure no roaches are in them, and I am constantly shaking out all my belongings to check for roaches. This has left me utterly exhausted. When I reached out to management for help, the only action taken was to have white powder carelessly thrown throughout my apartment. No instructions were provided on how to handle the situation, and no one has returned to clean up the mess. My apartment, already unlivable due to the roach infestation, has now been made worse by the managements careless response. Despite paying my rent and fees, I am unable to live comfortably in my own home. I have been forced to sleep in my car or at my office because my apartment is too filthy to sleep in.This ongoing situation has caused extreme stress and sent me into a deep depression. Once I get my finances back in order, I will be suing for all the emotional stress, depression and anxiety for this inhabitable apartment. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT MOVE HERE!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN. I have added pictures so you can see for yourself.
