I had a great experience at DeSoto Ranch Apartments! Lakeitha was absolutely amazing during the showing and throughout the entire process. She was professional, knowledgeable, and made everything feel smooth and stress-free. She took the time to answer all of my questions and made me feel confident in my decision. If you’re looking for a place and want great customer service, I highly recommend asking for Lakeitha and choosing to live in Desoto Ranch Apartments.

I've resided here for 3 years now with minimal concerns until today. Rent is due 1st-3rd after that you will be charged 10% for late fees, extra 25$ for late letters and your rent portal is supposed to be locked...well I submitted my payment today after checking my rent portal which by then is supposed to be updated with late fees and locked. Just received a call from the office saying my account is still in the negative and I need to submit the remaining balance due to the rent portal not reflecting their other fees which was not my fault AT ALL....no fee was waived due to their mishap or malfunction with the rent portal. This is unacceptable on all levels especially as hard as times are....very disappointed.

Ive lived here almost two years with 4 1/2 months on my lease left and will not be renewing my lease. My pros are that they are quiet and maintenance is fast. My cons are that the communication through the office and with the residents is not good at all so I think thats why people call them lazy and not friendly. Kristen isn't bad at all just young so I kind of understand it but at the end of the day because Ive worked in the industry on both sides commercial and residential customer service is KEY. At one point they were charging guests $3.99 for parking(which the manager said can come back again) just for people to come visit you. They implemented this and didn't tell anyone just one day you got online and had to pay. This lasted for months due to them saying that too many parking spaces were being taken most likely by people with unauthorized people living with them not on their leases. They do not waive any fees no matter what the hardship is so be ready to pay those if any mishaps in your life occurs. The trash here is horrible. They only have one trash in the whole apartments so just imagine how nasty that is for us people who live in the back not to mention embarrassing when people come over. It's always a trash mountain. Lastly, it's the new residents and the trash. I live in the building all the way in the back and they've had several residents in and out since Ive been here which this ties back into speaking about the office and their lack of communication with residents. They are not telling these people the trash rules and it has became very dirty back here in the last few months(trash is always on the ground along with liquor and beer cans ). People back here leave trash outside for days and nothing is ever done because these ladies never go around the property and if they did they would see it. Honestly, Ive seen them walk straight pass the trash when they should be saying something to the residents. Since the summer started, Ive walked up to my building smelling like nothing but hot garbage in 95 degree weather. I added a picture of two hot shacks of potatoes on the ground below. Im currently having a horrible gnat issue and Im sure it's due to trash in the breezeways. Last year, they gave us letters saying we would be charged $100 a bag for trash outside the door and on the ground when it should not be but clearly that doesn't apply to the new residents they have here. There is also a yearly inspection done on your apartment that I wasn't told about at move in and have never encountered before while living in an apartment unless it was the fire department making sure the building was up to fire code. Overall, sometimes I just think maybe I would had had a better living experience here if I was in the front near the office. Seems nicer and cleaner since it's near the office and the street view.
