Great property with an amazing team! The staff is always helpful, professional, and quick to assist with anything I need. The level of service truly stands out. 10/10 would highly recommend!

I can’t believe this is one of my few google reviews…I’ve lived at oakwood crossing for the last 5-6 years and before it was oakwood it was ariza. And honestly ariza was amazing, but oakwood crossing is absolutely crap. They struggle to keep personnel. They fail at servicing maintained request, so it will either happen poorly or not happen at all. The interior although nice is cheaply built and falls apart. The staff barely tolerate their job (can’t blame them), but are actually nice although they are unable to really move the needle. They fail at explaining things properly to residents. The pool is green half of summer like truly forest green (disgusting). I have went from loving this place to absolutely without a doubt hating it. They lack coordination. If you are a parent sending your kid here sure why not, but for literally anyone else I would recommend looking elsewhere where. Heck I know 4 people that have lived here in the year that moved up the street to 1730 because it’s better. They have lost my service and my recommendation moving forward. I truly cannot wait for my lease to end. Also their gate is literally always broken so this place isn’t truly a gated apartment complex anyone can come in at anytime… despite all their fixes, changes, upgrades, etc. Their only saving grace is the fact that the other residents here dislike the place just as much and for the same reasons and that it isn’t loud and it is away from the busyness of CS. I would totally not move here though… but I am thankful that I was here when it was ariza. For whatever that’s worth.

I had a disappointing experience living here. For a long period of time, the gates to the property were left wide open, which was frustrating because one of the main reasons we signed the lease was that we liked having a gated community. On top of that, the neighbors next to us regularly smoked weed, and the smell was so strong it seeped into our apartment causing frequent headaches. Despite repeatedly notifying management, nothing meaningful was done to resolve the issue so we stopped reporting it. There was also an email sent to residents after a vehicle had its tires stolen in the parking lot. The email included a reminder about pricing and availability for paid garages. Like where is the empathy?? Using someone’s misfortune to pitch sales felt completely insensitive and inappropriate. After moving out, management is attempting to charge me $425 for repainting and $300 for carpet replacement. I never had anything in the carpeted rooms except water, so these charges feel excessive and unjustified. The photos they provided don’t reasonably justify a $425 repainting charge for normal wear and tear. If you’re considering living here, TAKE PHOTOS OF EVERYTHING. Take note of every single imperfection before moving in and ask to see the bottom of the carpet. That said, the apartment itself has a nice layout with a modern design, but the management overshadow the positives.

This was a less than great living experience for me to say the least. I would not recommend moving here. Nothing is ever working properly; within the first month of living here, all 4 of my tires were stolen from my vehicle while parked in the back of this "Gated Community". Oakwood Crossing had no cameras in the back of the property, and offered essentially 0 help in this situation. The gate is always broken and left wide open for weeks on end, allowing anyone to come into the property. My hand was essentially forced to add a $100/month garage to protect my vehicle. Their package concierge service is a nightmare. I stopped ordering packages here all together. Packages never get delivered, the concierge service never works, forcing you to see the front desk to scramble to find your package, and they are only open during work hours, making it even more of a nuissance. On our move in day, the apartment was absolutelty filthy. Nothing like the model we viewed. Dust and stains were everywhere on the walls, cabinets, bathroom - it took us 4 hours of deep cleaning on move in day to fix everything. The pest problem here is crazy despite a mandatory pest control fee tacked on every bill. We dealt with fruit flies despite having no food and deep cleaning. After 5 different maintenance orders to help with the problem, I received a call from management saying there is nothing they can do and to wait it out. The front door is covered in spiderwebs and dust and dirt, not sure what the point of the pest control is. Pool is closed and filthy 70% of the time. My rent was never the same two months in a row with random charges no one was able to ever give me a straight answer, always blaming a "discrepancy with the system". Overall would not recommend

My husband & I lived at Oakwood Crossing for a year. I won’t say this is the worst apartment complex, but definitely not the greatest. The front desk people were always very nice & helpful, but their “maintenance” people are a literal JOKE. When we first moved in the hand towel holder in the bathroom wasn’t even all the way in the wall and almost immediately fell out, which revealed 6 holes in the drywall because they don’t know how to use a drywall anchor evidently. The next issue we had while living there was the fact that 8 months out of the year we were there, the front gates were completely open even when advertised they had a gated community. We had a covered parking spot where several times I came home to someone suspiciously parked in my spot sitting in their vehicle or around the area, making it feel not as safe as it was advertised. Like I have previously stated, their “maintenance” people are awful. They came in our apartments to install some things and left the empty boxes sitting outside doors & at the bottom of the stairwells for DAYS. They had also “power washed” the breezeways and left lines all over walls and concrete and spraying the water inside the door cracks of our apartment getting our walls, floor, & personal belongings very wet and dirty. The trash was also a very big issue. They would always leave the dumpster doors wide open, not coming for weeks at a time, & would only dump what was inside the dumpster & not get out to pick up the trash on the ground due to overflow. My husband and I went to try out the pool during the summer & there were 20+ people in the pool with the front of the apartment complex full of cars as if it was a college station wide community pool. Not to mention it was not well kept & dirty at the bottom. We never went back. Their parcel lockers are a literal nightmare. Good luck getting your packages out, almost all the lockers won’t open & are stuck! You’ll spend 10+ minutes banging, jabbing, & prying them open to get your packages all while it beeps at you very loudly to close the locker that won’t open. After reading a couple bad reviews on here, I got an email from Oakwood Crossing to give them a 5 star review for a chance to win $200… talk about desperate. My last straw was while we were moving out. I cleaned our apartment top to bottom & came across MOLD in our bedroom windows. The so called “maintenance” people did not seal the windows correctly causing mildew and mold to seep into the drywall & window frame. We understand things happen & mistakes can be made, but routine checks and maintenance should be superb when caring for an apartment complex to ensure the safety your renters. Our overall experience was not BAD, just not the best as you may find pros & cons to every apartment complex, so take this information as you will.
