My mother and I came to view this property and were so impressed not just by the complex itself, but by the amazing customer service we received. Selena and Ozz were beyond attentive and took their time to show us every available option. My mother left there feeling excited!! Would definitely recommend coming and checking Trailhead out. 10/10!

It takes me a lot to leave a review but after the issues encountered over a single year lease + how they're handling the return of my security deposit, I felt it necessary to let others know what to be wary of before making a crucial decision to move into Trailhead. The office staff, while friendly and communicative, are controlled by an incompetent management corporation who don't leave them much room to action much-needed tasks. It seems they spend more time making social media posts than actually caring about issues at hand. I've been waiting two weeks now for the return of my security deposit and am now living nomadically so I gratefully accepted an option for direct deposit. After numerous emails and phone calls, I'm being told I 'missed my window' for direct deposit when a link from their management company to set it up was NEVER EVEN SENT. Security is a huge issue. They spent thousands on a robust security camera system to monitor the grounds but it's actually proven to be useless. I had two cars of mine damaged IN the gated parking lot while living there. One was done by a guest of a resident and the camera couldn't pick up the license plate after my car was barreled into. The second time, my car was vandalized and the office did nothing to help me follow-up with a police report to report to my insurance carrier. The gates are easy to jump over and there is often homeless just wandering the parking lots and picking through the garbage compactor. They did away with a rent-a-cop security vehicle to boot. Of course their policy is 'we're not liable for damages' - not at all a secure feeling of 'home' whatsoever. The same issues persist with actual resident management. The pool is overrun by resident guests and there's no enforcement of limiting the amount of guests - often times there's no where to even sit on the weekends because of all the 'friends' residents are providing the gate code to enter the grounds. Some residents were respectful but the good majority of them have zero care for others who live at the complex. They litter, leave animal waste everywhere, speed through the parking lots and invite tons of friends to park + stay in the complex with again, no enforcement of polices whatsoever. If you live on the side of the complex facing the train tracks - expect to hear train noise every day and often times trains idle for days with their engines running. A total nightmare if you work from home. -- With all of the continual competition in Austin, including new buildings opening up directly across the street from Trailhead, I really do hope they get their act together because the experience is not at all worth the price tag.

I moved into the Trailhead in September of 2025. The first year or so, I had a great experience with the complex, staff, and amenities. The past 6 months, the complex has gone downhill. 1. EV Chargers - there have only been 2/6 EV chargers working for the past 6 months. Mind you, these chargers take 8+ hours to charge a car and half of this complex drives EVs. I have reached out to the Trailhead staff multiple times with no reply, explanation, or commitment to fixing the problem. The only solution they have is towing cars that occupy the EV spaces after a certain period. 2. Trash Valet - the Trailhead requires you to pay $25/month for them to take your trash 5 days a week during a 2 hour period, and must be brought back in at 9a daily. I have received fines for leaving my empty trash can outside of my door. Why are people allowed to have ugly decorations outside their door and I can’t leave my trash can??? And when if you ask to remove the valet service and $25/month charge - they refuse. 3. Packages - The organization of the package system is pretty bad. There have been multiple packages that are mislabeled or not tagged to my account, leaving me running all over the place for my packages. They change the door codes constantly, not relaying news to FedEx/USPS, so packages delivered outside of office hours are returned or left outside the gate. 4. Amenities - The recent lack of attention to the amenities has been frustrating. There has been a treadmill in the gym that does not work properly for months on end (and only one other treadmill), several pool chairs that are ripping, and a sauna that works inconsistently. Also, the yards by the pool smell HORRIBLE (dog pee/poo). Not sure if they can do anything about this but please beware. 5. Security - When I first moved in here, we had 24 hour security around the complex with a security car driving around at night keeping watch. I haven’t seen a security car driving around in months and therefore several people have gotten things stolen (motorcycle) and cars broken into. There are some staff members that are very pleasant and helpful (Jaila and Erik are great). Also, the maintenance team is very kind, and get my orders resolved ASAP! The first year, I really enjoyed my time at the Trailhead and even referred friends to move in here. I’m a little embarrassed for doing that based on the experiences I’ve had this year.
