If I can give this place negative stars, I would. In fact, more residents need to share the truth. Living at Bridge at Loyola was a nightmare—dangerous, filthy, and completely neglectful of residents’ safety, especially for families with children. The entire property is an environmental hazard. Trash piles attract wild hogs roaming freely through the grounds, the creek, and around the dumpsters. Animal feces and waste are everywhere—on sidewalks, on the bridge, in hallways, even inside the elevators, which are often soaked with urine, food, and trash. Roaches infest the hallways and outside units, spreading filth and disease. Building 1 is the worst: elevators covered in human waste, hallways cluttered with trash and neglected furniture, and a nauseating smell from rotting trash, feces, among other things. It’s disgusting, unsafe, and unacceptable—especially with kids who play outside or in shared spaces. Security? A complete joke. When the Ranger quit, no one replaced him. Management just hands out a number to call, but by the time anyone responds, it’s often too late. I’ve personally witnessed police chases, gunfire, and violent incidents. Two people drove through the complex shooting at each other in broad daylight. Police responded, but management refused to warn residents or issue safety alerts, leaving families and children vulnerable and completely in the dark. The parking lot is lawless—cars are stolen regularly, often right from the garage or in front of your unit. Management will just look at you. Many vehicles are broken into constantly, especially in the garage. The gates meant to secure the buildings have been broken for over two years, with no effort to fix or replace them. The mailroom is a mess—repeatedly vandalized, mailboxes broken into, and mail scattered on the ground or discarded in trash. Building 2D is the most active and chaotic. It’s also the noisiest—music blaring from dawn to dusk from the garage, and not just that—many unforeseen things happen in there. Elevators break down regularly, leaving residents stranded or delayed. Water outages happen frequently, often after flooding in other units, with notices arriving hours late…if you even get one. Power outages occur unexpectedly, disrupting routines. The entire property will go dark if the outage occurs at night. No notices. Nothing. The entire environment is lawless itself. Many incidents, including violence, vandalism, and chaos, happen without warning or accountability. And the worst of all—there was a dead body dumped right next to Building 2D in the grassy area I believe July 15, 2025. If you don’t believe me, it’s been on the news. Management never issued warnings or took any action whatsoever. They only care about lining their pockets. They ignore safety, refuse to warn residents about ongoing dangers, and treat us like nuisances. They harass tenants over lease renewals just to boost their profits. They will send out eviction notices if you don’t respond well before the due date to either renew or give a 60 day notice to vacate. They want that bonus. Management will send emails to new residents promising “free rent” in exchange for 5-star reviews—just a marketing scam. The truth? Nobody actually gets the free rent. It’s all about covering up the horrors of this place and making it look good online. This place is filled with neglect, violence, and greed. It’s a dangerous environment that puts everyone at risk—especially children. If you value your safety and your family’s well-being, you should consider other options.

Nasty property. Every hallway, every door knob, every stairwell, every wall and surface was disgustingly filthy. Every window I peeped in the rooms were dirty. The property is not secure. Every stairwell door was propped open. The office was closed. I never went inside a unit. Based on the outside I would stay far away. It shows signs of poor management and terrible tenants. The hallways smelled. This is not nice living conditions.

While I've only lived here for 1 month I must say that this is probably my nicest living experience to date. I'll try to be as transparent as possible The office staff is amazing especially Juan. He made my move-in process so easy The apartment is spacious modern with granite countertops in crown molding also love the fact that there's no carpet. I was reading the reviews from other tenants and to be completely honest people can be so pretentious and picky and overbearing complaining about children being too loud at the pool is ridiculous I've never been to a pool where children were quiet, let's use common sense and be reasonable people. Pictures of a outside garage that show dirt and trash on the floor is also doing a lot because it's literally a parking garage that's outside and detached from the apartment complex itself. I will say the stairwells and elevator could use a little cleaning but that's minor things. The walls are more on the thin side so you will hear your neighbors especially if they have children but to be completely honest I feel more comfortable having neighbors that make noise then neighbors that don't because I would feel like I was the one making all the noise so are there times that I hear my neighbor's kids bumping around and having a good time Yes but I'm sure there's times that they hear me playing my music and singing like Im thee American idol lol. All of my neighbors are super nice maintenance is awesome The capital Metro bus line also stops right in front of the apartment for people without a vehicle and there's a cute little corner store within walking distance. As far as the community it reflects the area that the complex is in it's literally on the east side of Austin so do what you will with that information. For me I was raised on montopolis so this is nothing new for me I feel completely comfortable and safe. Also if you have an apartment that faces the pool it's literally the most stunning visual at night time I honestly feel like I'm on vacation while I sit on my patio.

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the leasing staff at The Bridge at Loyola Apartments for their amazing support and dedication. From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make my move-in process smooth and stress-free. Special thanks to Son, whose kindness, patience, and professionalism truly made this experience a blessing. Her diligence and care reminded me that genuine customer service still exists. She answered every question, followed up promptly, and ensured I felt at home even before I received my keys. The apartment itself is beautiful, clean, spacious, and everything I hoped for. But what truly makes this place special is the support behind the scenes. Thank you again for making this transition not just easy, but memorable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for more than just a place to live, but a team that genuinely cares.

*Many 4-5 star reviews are false reviews as a result of a monetary incentive solicited by the apartment. Poor reviews were not eligible for the incentive. I'd rather people know the truth. Bridge at Loyola is FILTHY. Its not uncommon to see a puddle of urine in the only elevator in the building. The smell throughout the building can be so horrendous at times that you will find yourself holding your breath as you rush to your unit. There is trash everywhere, from broken glass in the garage to litter in place of where a fire extinguisher should legally be. Also, be warned that the walls and floors of the unit are extremely thin and peace and quiet will be foregone if you decide to live here. If you have the terrible misfortune of living in a pool-facing apartment, get ready to hear endless shouting from the kids playing in the pool. Management seems blind to all the problems occurring at the complex and proved incapable bringing any resolution during the 2 years I stayed there. I'm very happy we decided to move out of these apartments and I would recommend anyone to stay away and find another place to call home.
