South Oaks Apartments

I’ve been living at this apartment complex since 2021 and I only have great things to say about it! From the friendly front office staff, who are ALWAYS very helpful, to the living spaces they provide. The maintenance crew are also very helpful, and quick to do any requested maintenance. I’ve pretty much lived in every type of apartment available (1 and 2 bedrooms) and they’re all wonderful, I promise they will meet whatever need you have. The location is great with some downsides of traffic, but you will have that anywhere here in Austin. Everything, and I mean everything is near by so it’s so worth it. I highly recommend this complex!!

My experience living in this apartment complex has been very disappointing. From the beginning, I encountered many unpleasant situations. The common areas are often dirty, and there's no noticeable consistency in the cleaning. Maintenance leaves much to be desired; when problems are reported, they take too long to address or simply don't fix them properly. Furthermore, the neighbors are very noisy and don't respect the peace and quiet of others. I've also felt that many are very gossipy and meddle in other people's lives, which makes the environment uncomfortable and unpleasant to live in. Instead of feeling like a quiet community, it feels like an atmosphere of conflict and a lack of privacy. Another problem is the constant traffic entering and exiting the complex, especially during peak hours, which wastes a lot of time every day. Overall, I feel that management doesn't pay enough attention to residents' problems and doesn't care about improving the conditions of the place. For all these reasons, I wouldn't recommend this complex to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, and well-managed place.

Worst of all, maintenance is practically nonexistent: problems take forever to resolve or are simply ignored. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.”
