It was wondering working with Craig Kirby from REspace. We originally weren’t seeking out working with an agent but we saw a house he showed and he kindly offered to help us find what we wanted. He was able to filter what we wanted and gave us so many options outside realtor.com and Zillow and it was a game changer. Very kind and helpful and responds quickly to just a text! Highly recommend working with Craig!

Avoid at all costs if you can. Tony Lazarov is the kind of person who might stop to save you if you were drowning but then he would send you an invoice for it. As the founder/ceo of Respace/Managepro, Tony was my landlord for the last 3 years at 4501 Leslie Avenue. After living in multiple major cities where I have been a renter my whole life, I can safely say that I have never encountered an individual landlord or management company so universally despised by both the tenants and the contractors who work on the properties. I’ve got many stories, but I’ll just list a few here: -We had rats for over 6 months that destroyed almost 1k of our stuff. Tony tried to force us to pay for the exterminator, as it says in our lease that pest control is tenant responsibility. That would have been reasonable, except that I spent multiple months trying to convince him that it was because of literal holes in the house that the rats could get in, and structural issues are the responsibility of the landlord. He didn’t care and did not get an exterminator to the property who would even identify the root cause of the issue for 6 months. We had to call the city and get an inspector to identify that the building’s structural issues were not up to code before the management company or Tony would respond and help us. -The management company tried to charge us $250 for a dirty HVAC air filter. Okay, fine. It says in the lease that fee can apply if you don’t change your filters. Except that the tech sent DID NOT HAVE A LADDER TALL ENOUGH TO OPEN THE HVAC COVER AND LOOK AT THE FILTER. Still, they tried to charge us anyway and we had to fight them on it for weeks. -During our time at the house, the fence was partially destroyed by the demolition of the house next door. The person sent to rebuild the fence had never built a fence before and was watching videos on YouTube of how to do it. The day after he finished, the gate section completely broke. Tony’s response? “No one wants to work any more so it’s hard to find people.” No one wants to work for you, that’s for sure. -There’s a lot of instances of terrible communication and management from the office but I’ll just cite this one. Once we told them we wouldn’t be renewing the lease, they posted the listing to find new renters. The pictures they posted were so out of date, they were not even pictures that represented the house as we moved in to it 3 years ago, they were even older. They did eventually update the listing but those pictures, the ones that are currently up, still show the house before the May storms, before the backyard shed and tree were leveled. They also show the washer dryer, which we took with us as they belonged to us. -We just moved out at the end of July. An amount was taken out of our security deposit for “repairing the shed window.” That shed was completely destroyed in the storm. They also listed “recaulking the toilet” which they installed during the time we were in the house. So, I’m being charged for work you did poorly the first time? Not related to destruction or damage or use at all? Cool. The property at 4501 Leslie where we lived is still listed as available, now for ALMOST ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS LESS THAN WE PAID per month. They charged us 3395 for this house, raising the rent in 2023 when everyone else in the city was lowering rents or keeping them the same. Now, they can’t find anyone to live there and all of a sudden they are able to list it for 2495 - crazy how that happens. There are many words I could use to describe this landlord and this company, “predatory” is almost too simple. Perhaps it’s too much to expect that anyone willing to turn a profit on human beings needing a roof over their heads would be generous or kind or any of those words, but I truly don’t have enough negative words to describe these people. Live anywhere else.

Working with the REspace team and Nora Jane Gallegos was a great experience. Nora Jane helped my roommate and me find a new place quickly and efficiently. She was responsive, knowledgeable, and made the entire process smooth from start to finish. She answered all of our questions and found us a new home that fit both our budget and preferred location. Highly recommend her and the REspace team!
