I lived at the triangle for one year, and it was one of the worst living experiences I have had. The only upside to living here is the location; the management is terrible, and the maintenance did nothing. Our dryer did not work and we had 3 different maintenance people come in and do nothing to fix it, I would take my dirty laundry home on the weekends becuase I would have to spend ~5 hours on one load to wash and dry it (drying each load 2-3 times minimum to be dry). My window in my room did not close, and they never sent anyone to fix it. Cars were broken into in the garage, and non-residents were constantly parking in the garage because the door is permanently open, leading to no parking on any of the residential floors, you have to park on the 5th floor that is covered in bird poop. The amount of times I went to my car in the morning and it was covered, and I mean COVERED in bird poop is rediculous. Many doors do not even lock properly so anyone can get inside the building. Also the elevators, when functioning smell like urine constantly. On move-out, there was not a single person in the office to get our keys, even though they sent us an email saying that they are in the office and ready to accept the key. Then they hit us with a $750 carpet replacement fee, when there was 0 staining on any of the carpets, and we moved into a dirty apartment that smelled so strongly we had to ventilate the palce for the first few days, meaning they didn’t even clean, let alone put in fresh carpets. Honestly, I would rate them 0 stars if I could. Terrible management, terrible apartment. Avoid it like the plague.

I went to tour this place with my partner a couple weeks ago and we were appalled to say the least. Upon entry you can just tell they dont take care of the place. We walked around and looked at the common areas ourselves before someone in the office showed up to take us around. Idk if its the homeless making their way inside but things were broken and clearly not taken care of. If tenants are breaking things like vases in the common areas of their own apartment building thats just sad. None of it was a good look. The elevator reeked of urine and the tour guy didnt even look phased, it must be a common smell that he's used to. Trash was just sitting in the halls for valet trash but we were told its not enforced that people put their trash out inside in the trash bins. so people just leave the bare full bag of trash outside their doors in the hallway. It was just an all around grimey, smelly, hot mess. Im from NY so i've seen some things, Ive lived in Austin for about 3 years now, and ill just say this was the worst place ive seen since moving here from NY.

I’ve held off on leaving a review, hoping management would address the ongoing issues. After weeks of waiting and multiple attempts to get things resolved, it’s become clear that nothing is going to change. Since moving in this past February, conditions have steadily declined and recently safety has become a serious concern. There are frequently homeless individuals sleeping and leaving trash, condoms, makeshift beds, clothing, and even human waste in the stairwells. I’ve now come face to face with random men in the stairwell at all hours, four separate times. Despite repeated reports, management refuses to take the simplest and most effective step of securing the exterior doors. I was even told that because I chose to live in an urban area, this is basically part of the deal. A sign, a gate code, a camera, literally anything, would improve the situation. Downtown Austin complexes with far more trespassing issues have secure doors, on foot security, fobs, gate codes, and even 24/7 door guards. Instead of implementing any of those basic safety measures, I was told to “call the police.” Okay, let’s just hope I don’t get attacked or assaulted in the stairwell first, I guess? The security they do offer sits on their phone in the golf cart 100ft from the building all night. The apartment quality itself is equally disappointing. My unit looks nothing like the model I toured (I was unaware how different it would be), and every “remodel” is just your typical landlord special. The amenities are also neglected. The gym has been out of commission since July with no update, yet residents are still charged a $45 monthly amenity fee with no reimbursement. The pool areas look terrible, the furniture around them is broken, dirty, and falling apart. The hallways are filled with dirt, dust, cockroaches… and my favorite, rats!! For a property that brings in well over a million dollars in rent each month, it’s crazyyyy how little is reinvested into maintaining it. Recent reviews make it clear that many residents are having the same experience. Ratings have been tanking, and management continues to wave it off. It feels like Castle Lanterra and higher-ups would rather protect their own salaries than take responsibility for the conditions they’ve allowed. The location is great, but y’all have completely failed your residents. Consider living elsewhere

My girlfriend and I toured this property, it felt fine, the apartment we were looking at was in building 3 or C cant remember how they numbered it. We read through the reviews and for safety and security reasons came back, had dinner in the area and walked around. We walked to building 3/C and wanted to see if we could get in. The second door we tried was open. The lock was positioned on the door such that it was impossible to lock even when closed even if slammed. This was the case for 3 doors that we stumbled across in 5ish minutes. The garage gates were wide open and based on the dust are always like that. I had read reviews of car break ins and towing of residents by the complex. Its pretty clear that instead of fixing the resident garage gates they just pay a towing company to prowl the resident area and tow anyone without a registered plate. I would not feel safe living here and we decided not to, save yourself the time. If you want to check it out walk around and start pulling on doors you will see all the reviews are not from the oddball crazy resident this place is just unsafe.

To anyone reading these reviews: the one-star ratings are not exaggerations—not even close. Do not live here. I know people sometimes leave negative reviews over minor issues, but this is not one of those cases. The problems with this property are serious, repeated, and absolutely unacceptable. Be mindful that the higher rated reviews sometimes arent even for this place, it's for the resturants and shops in the area. This place lures in young adults by advertising itself as “luxury,” fully aware that most of us don’t have the financial resources to challenge them legally. While I lived here, I was harassed by a homeless man in the common room at 7 a.m.—management’s only response was, “We’ll keep a lookout for him.” I spent a year asking for updates about the broken garage doors. Nothing was done. Finally my car was broken into after security stopped showing up. Multiple cars were vandalized, and I was treated like I was the problem for bringing it up. The hallways and garages were filthy the entire time and the common room smelled like urine (2023-2024). So much more happened in just one year (failed fire alarms, broken AC units, broken fiber internet, vandalism, mail boxes broken into, etc). I gave myself a full year to cool off before writing this, but I still feel just as angry. Once I moved into a different building and saw what basic care for residents looks like, I couldn’t believe I had tolerated this for so long. I truly don’t know how any leasing professional can, in good conscience, continue signing people into these buildings. Completely unethical and honestly so sad. Whether the blame lies with Greystar or the property owners, someone needs to finally take responsibility. This place isn’t just mismanaged—it’s unsafe and harmful to the people who live here. From one Greystar property to another Greystar property: - Clean your hallways and pools - Secure your entrances - Abolish valet trash - Maintain your facilities and perform regular inspections - Proactively listen to and acknowledge your residents
