Matador

I have been a resident at The Matador since October, and my experience has been extremely disappointing. First, management has made my legally protected Emotional Support Animal accommodation unnecessarily difficult. I provided documentation from a licensed healthcare professional in compliance with federal fair housing guidelines, yet the process has been delayed with repeated additional verification demands that go beyond what HUD guidance requires. Instead of handling this respectfully and efficiently, the situation has felt adversarial and drawn out. Beyond that, safety at this property is a serious concern. My van has been broken into, and multiple other vehicles in the community have also been targeted. In one incident, a neighbor’s vehicle battery was ripped out. There have also been reports of individuals entering through an unlocked gate, and at one point I was personally threatened regarding my dog. That is deeply disturbing. Security appears inadequate for what residents are paying in rent. Additionally, since moving in back in October, only one elevator has been functioning consistently. This has been an ongoing inconvenience for residents, especially those living on higher floors. There are also persistent odor issues in common areas that management has not effectively addressed. Between safety concerns, maintenance issues, and the handling of disability accommodations, this has not been the standard of living that was represented. Prospective tenants should carefully consider these issues before signing a lease.

I’ve had a great experience living at Matador Apartments. The community is well maintained, quiet, and feels safe, which is very important to me and my family. The apartments are spacious and comfortable, and the grounds are always kept clean. The management and staff are friendly, professional, and responsive whenever an issue comes up. Maintenance requests are handled in a timely manner, and communication has always been clear and helpful. Overall, Matador Apartments has been a wonderful place to live, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed community.
