Update Jan 29, 2026 Construction every day Mon-Sat from sunup to sundown (often with very loud music blaring) for the last month and a half. Do not live here if you value peace & quiet, access to basic amenities you pay for (pool area closed for weeks at a time for no reason), or a functional leasing office staff to have to work with. ---- Not only are maintenance issues frequent, but they take an unnecessarily long time to repair due to the complete lack of care or basic professionalism.

Serious Safety and Noise Issues Please do not ignore the negative reviews for Lakeshore Pearl Austin — many of them are accurate. Safety is a major issue here. There have been multiple car break-ins, with shattered glass regularly seen throughout the garage. The garage door has been broken and left open, allowing anyone to walk in at any time. Worse, there is direct access from the garage into the building, and homeless individuals have been seen in common areas. This has been reported multiple times, yet management has not taken meaningful action to fix the garage door or improve security. The construction quality is extremely poor. Noise travels easily — I can hear neighbors just walking in their apartments. On top of that, sirens go off all night, making it very difficult to sleep. For a property that markets itself as modern or upscale, the lack of security, poor sound insulation, and failure to address resident complaints is unacceptable. I would not recommend living here until these issues are resolved.

Thank you very much to Catherine for tracking down my missing package today. She had to do some investigating and she went above and beyond and I’m immensely grateful. Also, I want to note how wonderful Josh is. He truly makes our community a better place. Thank you to everyone! all of the maintenance Team, thank you! Miss Maria you are such a gem, she always takes the time to ask about my day. Fun fact we share birthday’s. Y’all are such a blessing to our lives!🫶🏼

My problem with living here is how greystar setup parking rules against tenants that can be predatory toward its residents. As a forgetful person I would be extra careful about living here as it may cause me a lot of frustration. My car were towed twice off from their property due to online registering issue. They tow the cars in off hours without any direct notification toward me, they would use a online register system on the license plate instead of stickers so I got caught off guard and got towed the second time when I switched my NY plate to a TX plate. They have agreed upon and have contracted with reliant towing company so all the towing happens during night time off hours without any warning to the tenants. After complaints, manager was calling me in Monday morning about this review and asked me to take down my review so I can get some partial credit back, also asked me to have me discuss with her about early moving out options (IDK what is this about). After 2 days of multiple times trying to talk face to face with her in office but getting a "busy in meeting" dismissive response, no call backs, I tried to make complaints through other people, I was able to get my first towing cost covered in rent credits. I made suggestions that before they tow the car, can they give some grace period and warning notices so at least current resident can at least have some breathing room? There I have never seen a shortage of parking space here so I don't know what is the rush on towing cars about. All cars are in gated community here but it does not feel safe to park if they just aggressively tow them and blame residents for unable to accommodate to their rules. I have seen another review with the same problem to know that is it not just me. I don't think some staff and managements have the empathy to make rules with considerations on how it may impact people, besides telling people that the lease / company have the authority to do anything as it is what I have signed the lease and is already notified of the consequences (while I was dealing with many things and overlooked the car registration). Also noticed that there was loud noises from neighbors and upstairs where during 1-3 am there was partying and screaming. There was also few times when gym was completely out of air conditioning and extremely hot. Good thing about this place is that at least some staff are nice and would be helpful to the tenants. And would be nice enough to help with people with their basic needs and take extra efforts to make sure things are good. And building / location / maintenance / inside decoration / amenity are nice. And there are certain levels of security. I would like to give it a 2.5 stars for my current opinion on this place due to my negative / frustrating experience with it. I hope they can make adjustments to make the life easier for the future tenants.

Review for Lakeshore Pearl 2 As someone who has lived in some pretty god awful apartments around the DFW area and in Round Rock, I have to say Lakeshore does a lot of things right. The staff are super friendly, the maintenance team is always out working to clean or repair things that need attention, and the amenities are excellent. Not to mention it's right by the lake and easily walkable. Two things I'll note to be aware of: 1. Dependent on the side of building you're on, it can be a little annoying hearing some of the nearby bars jam out, but it's tolerable... even for a noise grump like myself. 2. The gates are kind of a pain in the ass. With there being two "phases" the app to open the doors is separated so you have to constantly change between the locations every single time. That and the gate into the community garage is quite literally ALWAYS either broken or wide open for anyone to walk right in. In fact, just last night getting home in the evening the gate was broken and wouldn't even open. That being said, just to reiterate, overall I'm very much enjoying my stay here while I sort out if Austin is home for me. Would 100% recommend stopping by to see if it fits for you.
