Callista Hill Country Apartments

Watch out for this place. Our 2023 Dodge Challenger hellcat parked legally in a parking space it was stolen within three hours of parking. Late May 2026. I would never move myself, my adult children to this complex because you better watch out for your car. They claim they are so secure and you have to let people in from an app, cry me a river. The only cameras they have here are in the very front entrance that does not even lead back to the apartments and only leads to the front /office. No cameras whatsoever in the complex itself, or the back leading out to Old Bee Caves Road. they claim they don’t have Internet access to do that. The guy at the office when we complained, I got super snippy when we question this. we are now out of a vehicle that we have owned from brand new for over three years because of their negligence of proper security for the complex. They don’t give a shit about the residence. They only want money and when your car is stolen, good luck. Think twice about moving here triple times about moving your adult children here as it’s not safe.

I’ll try to keep this brief as I could write a short novel on the horror of living here. Cons: moved in was guaranteed a washer and dryer had to wait two weeks to get one in my unit after begging the leasing office. THERE IS NEVER ANY PARKING. If you work late you will have to park at the leasing office because after 10pm everything is taken. Other residents leave trash all over the property. The location only works if you commute west on 71 if not you’ll spend everyday in traffic. I felt over charged the whole time I lived here but always paid my rent on time. The website portal didn’t work and wouldn’t accept my bank account info so I was charged a 4.5% service charge to pay with a credit card (roughly an additional $64 every month.) fitness center equipment is broken. For several months there was no free weights they’d been stolen and the apartment took there sweet time replacing them. Pool is closed 1-2 days a week because it gets trashed. Residents invite there whole family over making it crowded and uncomfortable. When I moved out they told me everything was good. Then a few months later I had a collections agency contacting me. I was confused as they told me when I moved out everything was good. Turns out they charge some insane cleaning fee to basically mop your floors. So I ended up owing over $250 dollars for what exactly I’m not sure. Edit: I forgot to mention one of the biggest cons. Shortly after moving in I received an official mailer from the post office saying that the master key to our mailboxes may or may not have been stolen. That if you suspect any of your mail to be stolen contact the leasing office. Needless to say I did have some mail stolen without any real solution. Only pros: Decent square footage and a really nice efficient maintenance staff. Photos are condition of my apartment when I moved out can’t figure out the cleaning fee.
