Packages stolen frequently from inside the apt hallways. It seems no action has or is being taken by management / security. 4 of the 12 EV chargers have been broken for 6 months. An additional 2 broke in the last 2 months. It seems no action has been taken to fix them even though many residents communicated the issue through many channels including official maintenance requests. Front gate often ceases to function. (9 emails about the gate in 6 months) Over winter we lost water pressure and hot water for about a month. Required repeat visits to apts to resolve.

Safety and security have been ongoing concerns for me at the property. Although there is a security presence and a parking garage, it often does not make me feel fully safe. There have been multiple instances of car break-ins, stolen bikes, and damaged vehicle windows, which makes it difficult to feel confident that residents’ property is protected. There have also been occasions where residents have reported the security guard sleeping during their shift. Personally, one time between approximately 11:00 PM and 12:00 AM, I was in the coworking space and observed the security guard sitting there for the entire time rather than actively patrolling the property. Situations like this make it feel as though security measures are not consistently enforced. Packages are also frequently stolen despite the Fetch system, and I believe part of the issue may be limited security infrastructure. There do not appear to be cameras in the mail room or garage, which could help deter theft and improve accountability. Increased patrol visibility, functioning surveillance, and stronger overall security measures would greatly improve residents’ sense of safety. The property itself is nice, but these security concerns significantly impact how safe residents feel day to day. I do want to end by saying that Valerie has been amazing to work with and has always been helpful and professional, which I truly appreciate.

Absolutely love everything about Broadstone East End, the staff were really helpful getting us in our unit, and were very accessible throughout the entire process. The Location of this apartment complex is perfect, its quiet enough, with nice nature trails but still near everything in east austin. They have multiple EV chargers, on each floor of the parking garage. We had 2 maitenance requests that were both done SUPER fast. Edit: The complex had a very bad plumbing issue that was building wide, I was without hot water and only had very weak water pressure. This happened for over 10 days, spanning over Christmas (which we were hosting). Due to it being building wide the timeframe makes more sense but that does not justify the living conditions of the residents. Normally im not one to complain about rent credit, but I think if you cant resolve hot water or just strong running water throughout the apartment in 10 days, credit should happen. That is absolutely ridiculous living conditions for a "Luxury" apartment, I was here with 4 stove burners on boiling water just to be able to take a bath (couldnt shower). I really like the complex in its normal state, but knowing how they deal with 'disasters' makes it a little bit hard to want to call this a long term home. The communication throughout this entire process was bad too.

I have been a resident for a few months now. While not perfect this is a 5 star property. The amenities are simple but kept in great shape, clean and maintained. The garage has enough covered parking for everyone and it’s included. Rates themselves are well priced but added fees are high. It evens out. At least the upkeep is great. The interiors of the units are beautiful; it’s not the same cheap finishes and appliances that most new places have. You have to see them and use them IRL to appreciate. Facing the pool or courtyard is actually very quiet and still sunny. The location is also cool- it’s the east edge of central east Austin. It’s not the most posh or walkable part of the city, but it’s lush and green, quiet, surrounded by greenbelt and trails and relatively convenient. Close to lots of trendy food options and bars but it isn’t super close to any cheap food or grocery stores. I’ve had my bike stolen off the rack, this probably could’ve happened anywhere.

I've been a resident for over a year and I just resigned my lease. The building is clean, the amenities are great, and the staff is kind and capable. Natalie, Lana, Sam make an effort to know and serve each resident to the best of their abilities, often going above and beyond with "the little things". There's also a great neighborly feel to the community of people here. I enjoy living here and believe its a great value.
