This community often receives praise for its friendly and responsive staff, particularly the maintenance team, who are quick to address requests. Residents appreciate the modern, clean units and well-maintained amenities, including the gym and social areas, as well as the convenient location close to trails, dining, and downtown Austin. However, some recurring concerns include occasional issues with security, such as broken gates and package theft, and a perceived lack of timely resolution for maintenance problems like EV charger functionality or cleanliness in common areas.

There are definitely some positives. The location is convenient — while it’s not the most glamorous area, you’re close to trails, solid restaurants, and things to do. I personally haven’t had any issues with noise (I face the pool), even though I saw some comments mentioning that. The gym isn’t anything fancy, but it’s convenient and gets the job done. Overall, I do like my unit and the space. That said, there are some pretty frustrating ongoing issues that management doesn’t seem to be resolving. The EV chargers were a huge reason I chose this property, and at this point, most of them are functioning — if that. Multiple residents (myself included) have submitted work orders and notified the office, but nothing has been fixed. It honestly feels misleading to advertise this amenity when it’s barely usable. The gate is also broken… again. I’ve been told total downtime this year is around 38%, which is pretty unacceptable for a “gated” property. Another issue is the dog situation. I like dogs, but the dog culture here feels out of control. The hallways often smell like dog (I’d say about 50% of the time), and I regularly see dog poop around the property — including inside the building (recently there was a trail on the 4th floor). Overall, there are some good aspects, but the lack of maintenance and follow-through on major issues would make me hesitate to recommend living here — especially if EV charging is important to you.

I would not recommend living at Broadstone East End. After living here for nearly two years, I regret my last renewal. Aside from the excessive turnover with both management and staff since moving in that caused gaps in communication/complex events/etc., there's been a significant decline since first moving in. There have been major security concerns that have been at issue for ages now with little to no redress, including a resident threatening another resident with a gun, constant package theft, frequent car break-ins, and random people gaining access to the building. The building also has a major dog waste problem (both inside the complex and mainly outdoors) as enforcement is nonexistent. On the level of more insignificant annoyances, the building often smells and is dirty due to old carpeting. It's not uncommon to see dog waste remain in a hallway for multiple days on end, or smell stale urine on tiled floors that aren't mopped for 2 weeks. The complex has also changed our payment systems for rent and our resident portal multiple times. As of the time of this review we've been informed the system "no longer allows" residents to pay rent before the first of the month or keep credits on their account, which is inconvenient and something I've never seen before at an apartment complex. The one bright spot is Christian from maintenance, who genuinely works hard and helps keep the place functioning. My past experiences with Greystar properties have been relatively pleasant. This is not only the worst by far, but the most disappointing, especially because the actual units themselves are not bad.
