1883 at Cameron House

DO NOT SIGN HERE!! This apartment is genuinely terrible, I’ve gotten stuck in the elevators and had to be rescued by firefighters because of the negligence in keeping amenities and services safe. Both elevators were down for MONTHS and I’m physically disabled so climbing up and down the stairs was awful. Not to mention the key fob readers on the doors are constantly broken so getting into my apartment is such a hassle. DO NOT DO IT!!!

terrible lazy management

Horrible apartment. This place only has one main front elevator , and it’s been broken for about 4–5 weeks now. It’s such an inconvenience having to take the stairs every day, especially when I need to carry groceries or anything heavy. On top of that, mail and packages are placed in the lobby, but the lobby doesn’t even have stair access. So when the elevator is down, you have to go through a side stair exit and walk all the way around the building just to get to the front entrance. The walls are super thin. It honestly feels like you’re living with everyone else in the building. The smoke alarm is also way too sensitive and has gone off multiple times during the fall semester for no real reason. The condition of my room when I moved in was terrible. The toilet seat was loose and barely attached, the sink and shower drains were clogged, and the furniture was low quality with sharp edges sticking out under the cushions. At one point, the Amazon lockers were broken too, so packages were getting sent back because there was nowhere to put them. The amenities are pretty bad. The Wi-Fi goes out sometimes, and the gym is missing dumbbells, with some machines broken or really stiff. It doesn’t seem like the staff cares enough to fix or replace anything. Security is also a concern. The parking garage setup makes no sense. What’s the point if you have the entrance gate down, but the exit gate is left open 24/7? LOL, so people can just drive right in. Because of that, I’ve heard multiple stories of things getting stolen. Some of the alley door latches are broken too, which doesn’t help. Another issue was when a group of maintenance I believe came knocking aggressively on my door saying they were checking fire extinguishers. I never got any notice about this, and my unit doesn’t even have a fire extinguisher. They ended up coming into my apartment without permission and didn’t even close my door when they left. Overall, living here has just been an inconvenience. Please look elsewhere 😂✌️
