This off-campus housing option offers a convenient location close to campus, making it easy to walk to classes, and many appreciate the included in-unit laundry and dishwashers. However, several students have noted that apartments often aren't thoroughly cleaned or well-maintained upon move-in, sometimes leading to unexpected cleaning fees upon departure. Additionally, some residents have experienced issues with inconsistent billing, particularly concerning electricity, and report that maintenance and management responsiveness can be slow or unhelpful.

this place is a decent option for off campus housing, especially considering some of the other options near campus… but what you get is not even close to what they show you in their tours. the pros are that its very close to campus and being able to walk to class is very convenient. the apartments themselves are also decent, in unit washers and dishwashers are heaven sent. however, the apartments are not nearly as “luxury” as they like to call themselves. when i moved in the apartment was filthy, covered in dust and cat litter, mystery stains and peeling paint. after two days of deep cleaning it was fine, but very annoying since it doesnt seem like they are cleaned or inspected besides the bare minimum(but you can bet that they charged me a “cleanup fee” after moving out because i forgot my shower curtain, even after scrubbing that place top to bottom). they don’t provide recycling, in case that’s something you prioritize. luckily, the apartment complex next door does, so you can throw your recycling in their dumpster. during the snowy months, which there are many of in kent, the way that they shovel snow is NOT ada accessible, so if you are wheelchair bound or have mobility issues i would not live here. they pile up snow on top of the sidewalk slopes and leave thick sheets of ice on the sidewalks. i have ate shit multiple times on the sidewalk right in front of my building from a huge patch of ice not treated once. not to mention that there are no elevators in any of the buildings. even if youre physically able, good luck moving your boxes to the third floor via stairs. and this place will absolutely drain your bank account. the apartments are not well insulated so you will be blasting the heat/ac 24/7. the rent is actually not that bad considering that everything is included save for electric, but it’s definitely not cheap. and you better PRAY that you dont end up having to relet, because they will squeeze you for everything you’re worth. $300 relet fee, an extra 85% of your rent if you want them to find someone to relet to, and after that, they wont find someone for at least a couple of months so they will continue charging you rent for months after you dont even live there anymore. as well as office workers telling you incorrect information or leaving out information when you ask them questions about the process. if you have a car, you could find an apartment half the price just a 5 minute drive away, and then just pay for a parking pass. if you dont, try eagle’s landing instead. but if you have infinite money and really want an in unit washer, sure, im sure youll like this place.

When I moved in, the room was not properly prepared. There were stains on the walls, dirt and debris on the floor, some of the furniture was damaged, and the bathroom was also dirty. It was clear that the room had not been properly cleaned or prepared for move-in. Don’t recommend you this place!

I’m sure it will be a good year, but so far I’m worried. It was decently dirty when my roommate’s and I moved in. We had to do a decent amount of scrubbing and cleaning before moving our things in and getting settled in. It’s often that past residents are charged for cleaning fees after move-out. I do not know if the past residents were charged a cleaning fee or not, but if they were, I am confused why since it was not clean for us when we arrived. I’m also confused as to why college students have to pay a full month’s rent when we move in halfway through the month. Hoping the year will get easier and better:)
