Village West Apartments

I lived at village west for 4 years. It was my first apartment on my own and I had a positive experience. The units are older and have older apartments problems (A/C issues, dishwasher issues, drafty windows etc.) but they are cute, comfortable, pet friendly, safe apartments that are good value for the money/space. The property manager Shawn is honest and clearly takes pride in the place and things are fixed promptly when needed. Love the neighborhood and fellow residents are pleasant as well.

I'm a current resident and renewed my lease today - my roommate and I have had a great experience here overall. I wanted to give a shout-out to the head maintenance technician, Jim, for his prompt work on fixing our A/C. In one day he diagnosed the system and completed the repair, which included replacing a blown motor and other electrical components. We really appreciate what Village West provides for us at the price point they charge and I highly recommend scheduling a tour!

I’ve been living at Village West for about seven months and I genuinely have no complaints anytime I need something done. It’s done. They do have a trash issue but I noticed that a lot of outside people dump trash so it’s probably harder to keep up when it’s more Than just the village dropping trash I say if you’re looking for something cute cozy and affordable try your luck it doesn’t disappoint!!!!!

Village West dumpsters aren't sufficient to manage their apartments' waste, and/or they're not being managed effectively or emptied often enough. Bins regularly overflow leading to loose trash blowing eastward onto City streets while littering nearby neighbors yards. This has been an ongoing nuisance for months if not years. Previous efforts to contact and address the issue directly with management have been fruitless and frustrating. See pictures for examples of these regular occurrences.

I’ve lived at Village West since July 2022. I’ve lived in both a one bed and two bed townhome style apartment and had a great experience in both! The area is very safe and very walkable to Lucky’s Market for groceries and Saucy Brew Works for both coffee and drinks! I went to OSU, and it’s an easy 25 minute walk to campus, or 5 minute car ride. Maintenance is always super responsive and quick to resolve any issues (if any). Shawn is super welcoming and very willing to answer any questions/concerns. I am moving due to no fault of Village West, just due to personal reasons & I would recommend this complex to anyone looking for a nice, safe, quiet and affordable place to live! Thank you Village West for a great experience!
