Lived here for almost 2 years while in grad school at OSU. Was here during a management change and everything went relatively smoothly. Always appreciated the communication by management and never had any big problems. My floor was very quiet and I felt pretty safe in and around the apartment complex, even at night when walking my dog! I felt like management was extremely reasonable and I have no complaints! I will miss living here and recommended to anybody looking for a less Expensive place to live In downtown Columbus! My only “complaint” Is that I wish there was a second elevator going to phase 2 of the building because some nights in the middle of the night when I had a very desperate pet trying to go outside, the elevator felt like it took forever to finally make it up to me on the top floor a sit made several slow stops on its way up :)

Have enjoyed living here so far but getting really sick and tired of the building wide fire alarm going off needlessly once a week at all hours of the day forcing us to all evacuate for half an hour at a time. I can understand once or even twice, but this has been going on for weeks now and is becoming quite frustrating

Landlords at their finest. I think this is the first Google review I have ever left. Started when I first moved in, the property had my car towed from the garage for having expired tags (even though I was paying for parking every month and had a valid pass, they towed for tags which does not affect them at all). But the reason I am writing this review, today they are trying to charge me $2000+ to replace "2 big scratches and other minor scratches in the living room". For reference I uploaded a photo so you know I am not exaggerating. Imagine paying $1000 per big scratch. They cheap out on the flooring so that they can charge you at the end when stuff inevitably gets scratched. As well as the "baseboard", which is just plastic that they glue on the wall. No doubt they know that a lot of residents here are either in school or just graduating and think that they can take advantage. Definitely feels like a big company just bullying people. EDIT: For transparency, Google won't let me reply to the owner, so I wanted to add that the updated fee they are talking about is still $900+, which is still ridiculous. Still have not received an invoice for the work. FINAL EDIT: An invoice was finally provided, and the price for the repairs was $1,450 (I included a screenshot)... so I am also wondering why they tried to charge me initially for $2,250 ($2,025 charged to my account + $225 forfeited security deposit, that initial charge is also included in a screenshot). I won't speculate their motives behind this, I will leave you to draw your own conclusion. So, after MONTHS of phone calls with the Vera office, in addition to providing the invoice, they finally updated the final charge to $900 (they did pro-rate the charge like they promised), which after forfeiting my security deposit of $225 came out to $675. All said and done this started in April of 2025 and ended in July of 2025. Months of a big headache that I am grateful to be finished with.

I’ve been here for 6 months in the original building. Management and maintenance is unlike any other. They are AMAZING… i’ve heard so many horror stories of bad management and slow maintenance. Not here!! Not to mention living downtown has its issues of safety, but Vera makes you feel so safe. All doors and elevators are locked unless you’re a resident with access. I wish I could give this apartment complex more than 5 stars.

I have lived here 10 months now and had a transition of property management, the old manager was great and even the transition to our new manager, Joe, is also fantastic. The staff here is extremely responsive, if you place an emergency work order, you can expect contact within the day, if it's a normal order, at least a 48 hour period max for it to be resolved. The mailroom was a huge concern when looking for an apartment, but there has been no issues with lost mail here. I highly suggest considering this place as a future home, you are in the middle of everything, it's a secure building, parking garage available, and very affordable given the area. The quality beats the price.
