I love living at The Luminary! Management is attentive and maintenance is quick to arrive when needed. Apartments are clean and modern with fun touches that make it feel more home-y. Exploring the King-Lincoln Bronzeville neighborhood has been fun!

Post 1-year Review (will update) UPSIDES: - Very kind, very considerate community. Every neighbor I've met has been super kind and considerate of noise, trash and decorations. I've never needed to file a noise complaint. The holidays get loud but what can you do. - There is a club that has live music in the summer evenings on the weekends (or Thursdays idk) and you can hear it from the balcony. This is such an unexpected perk of living here- I can’t explain to you the calm evening breeze from the open windows, leading in the jazz music from the function. I cherish it every time. - I haven't gone but there are numerous socials that management puts together that I really appreciate. I've never had the availability to go but they'll coordinate with the church next door or host something in the main building. Above and beyond! - Grounds keeping and maintenance are consistently some of the best I have ever seen/experienced in all my days of renting. In the spring/summer they're keeping the grass cut and stuff and in the winter they're out here shoveling around every car and sidewalk after big powder dumps. I appreciate it so much! - Communication w/ management is easy, painless and productive. Michaela is wonderful and attentive to the needs of residents DOWNSIDES: - You can hear every conversation, step and door slam from inside your apartment at all hours. For me, it took some getting used to but it wasn't the end of the world. I tuned it out after some time. - Not necessarily a downside but residents not living in the "main" building don’t have access to the amenities there. I think it's just a rec room or a lobby I'm not sure but there no way for entry. I'm not sure if it's factored into rent but just something I've noticed! - Equally, the walls are a bit thin but with air conditioning and constant home noise I don’t think it's an issue, I have very considerate neighbors. - When I moved in, I specifically asked about the trash upkeep. I can’t stand when the garbage gets backed up and then attracts huge swarms of flies and it smells- it's gross. They assured me it never gets to be that full and for the first year that was the case. Now, not so much. I think there's been more people moving in or what have you but there needs to be more pickups more often or whatnot to prevent this (at least during the summer months). It's a newer issue and management has already started to address it but if it goes on longer, I'll update my review!

Maddie was competent, professional and timely. Maddie understood the neighborhood and was very welcoming. She explained each detail: 🅿️ parking, amenities, fees and availability.

I thought I reviewed this awhile ago but maybe I deleted it or it got deleted? I lived here for three months when this place was newer. It looks nice, management was amazing and so accommodating, they cared about the safety of residents and quickly hired security. The apartments are visually pleasing and very clean. The patio was nice. I moved for two reasons 1. Firstly, I pushed myself out of my price range and had a friend offer me to live with them so I took the offer and management let me kindly find a replacement tenant to apply and sign their own lease. 2. Money aside, I am a light sleeper and you can hear the highway loud and clear. The apartments are sealed well but for me it was an issue. If you’re not accustomed to knowing you are an incredibly light sleeper you’ll probably love it here. It seems most people don’t have the sound issues I have. Unfortunately, for me I had to move. I still think they’re overpriced for the location for a multitude of reasons but looks like lots of university students and young professionals live there now so it could be a nice community for that atmosphere. I’d suggest touring and if the price point and highway proximity aren’t an issue for you, you may love it. If they are, you may not. Management during my time there were SUPER kind.

I’ve had a great experience. The living spaces are well finished and comfortable, and the amenities are a big plus. The building feels well cared for. The lobby is consistently clean, and the gym is in great shape. Management is also quick to respond, and I love how easy it is to get downtown and over to Olde Towne East.
