This community offers a convenient and well-maintained living experience, with many residents appreciating the friendly atmosphere, responsive maintenance, and excellent amenities like multiple pools and a dog park. While the location is often praised for its proximity to campus and local establishments, some older units may present occasional challenges with noise from neighbors, thin walls, or minor maintenance issues like inconsistent water pressure or appliance quirks.

Governours Square will keep you guessing, because this apartment complex has both its benefits and cons. For starters, I had an alright time staying here. The neighborhood is genuinely beautiful with plenty of trees, basketball courts, and other amenities. Seemingly very family friendly if that interests you, whereas I lived alone and was finishing my last year of Ohio State. The apartment was usually a 15 minute drive to campus for me. It really only was a problem once Columbus decided to redo all of the sewers alongside the road there in the area and along Kenny. I will say this place's biggest con was how it isn't really water friendly. The main road would flood, and my apartment had some water trouble with the rain we got while I was there. The wooden frame of the sliding glass door was damaged from all the water, and, while it did get fixed, it later got damaged again in the spring. The snow was awful too, and the plow trucks barely plowed the neighborhood up. On top of that, the communal washers and dryers always broke or flooded because people would throw their entire apartment in the machines, causing the washers to shake and break off of the water line. Weird that at the time they'd advertise in unit washer and dryers, and yet my unit never had one. I gave this place a 3 because overall it was a very mid apartment complex.

My experience at governor's square has been a good one. The staff here is very responsive and respectful. Grounds are always kept well and the landscapers do a good job. The maintenance team is always fast to respond. Upon moving in everything was in working order. If you're looking for a nice town home to rent this is the place. I even have my own outside shed for storage and my own patio to enjoy.

My partner and I lived here for almost two years. We originally had a one Bedroom bottom floor flat and the unit itself was actually OK but the neighbor upstairs was incredibly inconsiderate To us And I think he was and And the nicest way special But he would stomp around all hours of the day and night and take multiple smoke sessions outside and would absolutely slam his sliding glass door I swear to God every 15 minutes and would shake the whole place and eventually my unit ended up having cracks in The walls from how Much this dude stomped around and slammed things. His ashes also would get onto our patio furniture and burn Hole in the fabric And he would always spit over his balcony and one day I was sitting out there Watching the videos and he decided to spit literally through The crack of the Patio and spit right inside my lap. I filed a police report on him for that and nothing happened and my fiancé made another complaint to the property manager, and they finally let us move from the unit to a townhome, which was Way more expensive, but we did like it more except for the fact that it was sitting on Kenny Road and the traffic was so loud And then construction started happening. Also, we had no hot water for literally like six months And it took forever for them to come fix it And even after they did It really never got better And the hot water would last like five minutes. Also I think units started having plumbing issues which made them dump out dirty water onto the parking lot that smelled horrible

ROACHES!! I moved in two months ago into a townhome. The patio space was overgrown and had breaks in the fence, the washer didn’t work, the a/c did not work, there were scuff marks on the floor and water damage on the ceiling. Within two months of being in this unit, we had an ant infestation outside our patio door and even found roaches in our kitchen. The property manager was extremely defensive with every issue brought to his attention. After a lot of back and forth maintenance was quick to respond but with all of the issues we decided to downsize to a 2 bedroom. The unit we were moving sat vacant and was not trashed out for three weeks until the day before we moved in. The unit was not repainted, there are multiple holes in the walls, and the unit clearly did not receive much cleaning. There are dead flies in the light fixtures, bug poop on all of the baseboards, and our refrigerator did not work. I went through multiple paper towels wiping down counters and shelves in the kitchen, the floors need mopped to hopefully remove the smell, and the pantry smells like garbage.
