Copley Park Apartments

May Update: Trash system is still terrible. Original photos from November 2025, new photo from May 2026. Do you love the sight of trash? Do you love the smell of trash? Then Copley Park is for you!!!! (Every unit pays monthly for trash utilities and it's looked like this for 2 months) I've lived here for 3 years...with a rent increase each year. The management and upkeep of the grounds has gone down dramatically since my wife and I moved in. This review used to be 5 stars :( I hate to see this community so uncared for. Just fyi the only reason this complex is 4 stars is b/c of the old reviews from years ago before management changed. Read the recent reviews.

Most recent pics are true. The staff is never here. And when here they're just rude as if they didn't choose a job with people. Poc are pushed in the back while others are in the front, most do not pick up after their dogs let alone have the mindset of not over filling the trash chute. All amenities offer brakes within a year . The trash pick up is lucky to be daily like it's offer. Paying more for something that happens less. They resorted to Ai tours too. You can and will find a better place. This place is overpriced and you deserve your hard moneys worth. Not this.

I have lived here for over 5 years with my dog and have never seen the grounds of the complex so disgusting. People do not pick up after there’s dogs and it’s so disrespectful. Even the sidewalks are covered. I can’t even walk my dog without constantly having to look down so we don’t step in any feces. If you think the side walk is bad just imagine what the grass looks like. My dog won’t even step in the grass because he knows it’s covered is dog feces. And don’t even get me started on the trash situation. We have one trash compactor and it either breaks or gets full to the point where people have no choice but to leave the trash on the ground next to it and it just piles up. People pay way too much to live here to have to deal with these conditions.

The only redeeming part about this complex is the apartment itself. The floor plans are nice and very spacious for the price. However, The management quality has been insanely inconsistent, our gym pass has not worked since we moved in and the issue has still not been fixed no matter how many times we contact management. Because the office is almost always closed, trash piles up and other neighbors do not maintain their unit or the grounds and nothing is done about. There is currently a MASSIVE wall of trash in front of the compactor that has not yet been taken care of ( going on at least 3 weeks now) Why? I have no idea. Some excuse about the “trash compactor being broken” but you’re telling me the valet trash people cannot just walk around and throw it in to the dumpster? This has happened multiple times this year but this has been rhe worst. We just recently renewed our lease but this is new lows of service and if maintenance and is really making me regret doing so. I would not recommend moving here and as soon as it makes sense for us we will be moving.

June 4 2023. I only stayed because I HATE moving that much. They (Birge) just finished renovations w my unit. I was excited. Of course though they can’t do anything right. I come home to find my furniture all tossed on my couch despite based on the markings of what was to be done I had everything out of the way. Some of this is inherited mid century furniture that was tossed on top of my couch with ZERO REGARD for my other property when they had a bedroom they could’ve easily moved stuff into. They have dinged walls all over the place with poor craftsmanship. They touched my shower stuff for NO reason. They left my A/C at 60 the entire weekend I was gone so they ran up my bill unnecessarily. EVERYTHING IS DIRTY. I AM SO MAD I CANT EVEN SEE STRAIGHT. See pictures. Update July 12, 2022 - Checked with another resident and we can no longer post in our Community Wall section of our Resident Portal. Too many complaints I guess. 🤷‍♂️ Was going to ask today if our flag is still at half staff because our grass is totally deceased. Also, the review from Haley sounds like the girl who works at the office. 😂 Nice try at convincing people this isn’t a dumpster fire. Update July 7, 2022 - No one is paying attention to who’s using our pool. We have property embedded sprinklers that are not being used to maintain the grass green and it’s not being treated to stay nice. Dog pee stained grass abounds the place. People in our community are PISSED. Update June 30, 2022 - Basically since the plumber they called said they couldn’t smell anything nothing else has been done. A guy who works for Birge and Held tried to gaslight me and tell me the emergency maintenance number works. Told him it did not. He said, “you probably are calling the wrong number” insinuating my incompetence. So I called the number right then and there that they have in the portal. It said hello and then disconnected and I said, “do you want to tell me I’m wrong now?” and he had nothing to say. That phone number still hasn’t been updated in the resident portal despite them knowing about the issue. They did not test for any hydrogen or methane gas like I requested to be done either. ALSO, the grass isn’t being watered (despite having a sprinkler system the former company used and turned on to keep the grass nice) and terribly is dried out. Trash is everywhere in bulk and not being attended to. Shrubs are overgrown and aren’t being trimmed by landscaping. Total dumpster fire all around. UPDATE JUNE 21 2022 - Emergency phone number still doesn’t work. I have had a putrid smell coming from my apartment for a few weeks now and has become awful. Cannot get a hold of anyone on the weekends to recall out Waterworks. Had to call the non-emergency fire department Sunday night to ensure there wasn’t anything totally poisonous. I’ve experienced headaches, sinus congestion, raspy voice and felt heavy in my chest. So much so I went for a Covid test to be safe and it was negative. Haley in the office has been helpful however I don’t think people still understand the seriousness of this issue. If this does not get resolved shortly I will be breaking my lease. UPDATE JUNE 10 2022 - Emergency maintenance number doesn’t work. Awesome. UPDATE JUNE 2022 Champion (whom the great review below was for) sold the property and under the new management I would avoid this place. The company who bought it, Birge & Held, is awful. They were totally not prepared to staff and take over 3 complexes. Since end of April, we have had zero staff on site, no use to the clubhouse or the coffee machine, the grass has been horribly unkept without regular maintenance (which puts residents at risk for Lyme disease due to ticks liking tall grass - I have Lyme already), and further our pool was to be opened Memorial Day weekend and they failed on this as well.
