The Village at Pine Ridge

The Village at Pine Ridge is engaging in a very unprofessional, unethical, and harmful business practice. About two months ago, I applied for and was accepted into a 1-bedroom townhome. I provided a security deposit and received a welcome e-mail with information for setting up utilities, renter's insurance, my new address, etc. The welcome e-mail contained the caveat that I would not receive my lease agreement until the week of move-in. I accordingly gave notice of my intent to vacate to my current apartment complex. On 8/10/2026, two weeks before my scheduled move-in date, I received a call from the leasing office. They informed me that the current tenant rescinded their notice, and the 1-bedroom townhome I had been approved for was no longer available. I spoke with the office, voicing my concerns with finding a place to live on two-weeks' notice. They put me in a very desperate and dire situation. They provided me with the option of a 2-bedroom townhome that was out of my price range. They refused to adjust the price to align with the 1-bedroom townhome for which I had applied. They also offered me a 1-bedroom apartment at Pine Ridge, but this would not allow me to house my large dog. They didn't care. They purposely withheld the lease agreement to allow them the flexibility to revoke the unit at the last minute. The agent informed me this is the 3rd time in 7 months this same situation has occurred. Ultimately, I was lucky enough to find another apartment at a completely different complex in another area. However, if it came down to it, the Village at Pine Ridge does not care if their immoral business practices result in you and your pet becoming homeless.
