⭐️ 1 Star I am extremely disappointed with my experience at High Acres. I moved here expecting a clean, comfortable, well-maintained apartment, but unfortunately my experience has been very different. I am currently dealing with cigarette smoke entering my apartment from another unit. I reported the issue, only to essentially be told that I have to deal with the smoke. I was also told that my HVAC/thermostat issue is not considered an emergency, so instead of properly addressing the problem, I was told I could use a portable heater/air conditioner-type solution. Which will make my national grid outrageous. What makes this even more frustrating is that I was previously told that nobody lived above me, which turned out not to be true. There is someone living above me, and that is where the cigarette smoke is coming from. I should not have to choose between breathing cigarette smoke inside my own apartment and being uncomfortable because the HVAC system isn’t functioning properly. These are basic issues that I expected management to take seriously. I am very disappointed with how this situation has been handled. The way management responds to legitimate concerns is just as important as the amenities they advertise. Unfortunately, based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend High Acres.Managers won’t even give you the time of day after they get your money. Be aware.

I applied and they took the $500 fee once your application was approved. I had to cancel my application within 72 hours for it to be refunded. I did so and still months later have not received my $500 back. Do not trust them.

We lived at High Acres Apartments on Ball Road for four years, and unfortunately, our experience only got worse over time. When we inquired about transferring to a townhouse within the same community, the leasing office staff treated us disrespectfully. During the application process, we overheard a staff member say under their breath that we "couldn't afford it." That comment was unprofessional, insulting, and completely inappropriate, especially after being long-term residents. After deciding to move, our lease was set to end on June 28. However, on June 23rd or 24, maintenance entered our apartment without our permission or prior notice while many of our belongings were still inside. Shortly afterward, we discovered that our apartment had been burglarized, resulting in approximately $3,000 worth of stolen property. The timing of these events was extremely concerning, and we never received a satisfactory explanation regarding the unauthorized entry. To make matters worse, after we moved out, we were charged approximately $1,500 for alleged damages. We thoroughly cleaned the apartment before leaving and returned it in excellent condition, comparable to when we moved in. We strongly disagree with those charges and feel they were unfair. After four years as residents, we expected to be treated with professionalism and respect. Instead, we left feeling disrespected, frustrated, and disappointed. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend High Acres Apartments.

Absolute worst living experience of my entire life. I would not suggest anyone rent with High Acres or Morgan Property if they can help it. Where to even start? How about moving in? Apartment associate gave the tour half asleep with a blanket wrapped around them so it's honestly on us for not taking the hint. We were so taken aback we didn't even notice the bottom of the line appliances, the tub that hasn't been updated since the 80s when the complex was built, and there are no overhead lights in any of the bedrooms. However the real issues started once we moved in. To start off, the leasing office was unprofessional from the second the deposit cleared. Kassy Rodriguez and Vanessa Rosario offered us a tour of the unit that would model our floor plan but turns out there was none available and they didn't bother telling us until after we drove almost two hours to view the property. We were shown a comparable unit (though it didn't have the basement we have in ours) and they then promised to show us the unit once the current occupants moved out. Cue another two hour drive where they were told us they couldn't accommodate us after we arrived. Mind you, we had taken off work and were given no apologies or explanation. Just a shrug and get out of their face basically. Eventually, they promised a virtual tour but of course didn't even call us for that one. We had to call them (after being ignored through numerous emails and phone calls of course). Even on move in date, the unit wasn't ready at noon when they promised so we had to reschedule our movers at great personal cost and again was given no apology or even acknowledgement. Once we moved in, we noticed the space hadn't even been properly cleaned and the promise washer and dryer hadn't been installed. The toilet on the second floor also didn't work. We put in SIX maintenance requests, the last of which occurred after our entire bathroom had been flooded and I -- who had a broken leg from these crappy concrete covered floor -- almost injured myself on a broken mirror. Eventually, an entire Playstation console remote is pulled from the toilet that High Acres and Morgan Property said was clean to the point of arguing with me over the phone about it. Keep in mind, when I called about the flood, no one at the office even answered. They were at lunch at like 1:30 PM all at the same time because why would residents need assistance during business hours. Following this, they erroneously accused of writing numerous fake reviews even though information contained in said reviews where things we couldn't have known about like how the office is demeaning to maintenance employees or that they don't plow the parking lot regularly in the winter (we moved in last summer when my initial review was posted). Along with this, they threatened us with eviction because we were upset about a flood that they caused through neglect of their own properties. And speaking of neglect, that extends to the twenty year old rusted out water heater that they took their sweet time replacing so there was a period of about a week where we didn't even have hot water. In "fixing" that issue, they also caused one with the dryer that still haven't been fixed even as we prepare to move out. When you bring up any of this, the community manager is quick to say that there are hundreds of residents and only a few workers in the office, so let's make High Acres and Morgan's Properties lives easier by just not moving here. You'll only be missing out on units that have no air conditioning in the summer, no snow plows in the entire, no working plumbing, tick infested forestry, tiny kitchens with next to no counter or cabinet space, an apathetic management company, and nasty, unprofessional office workers who never answer the phone or respond to emails. Who wouldn't want to live here?

I applied for an apartment, I make way more than 3x the required rent, I recently paid off all of my debt - except a student loan that is in forbearance ~ my kids are in the district, one of whom has autism - he has an amazing team; As you know with children with Autism, structure, repetitiveness and consistency is important. they refused to reconsider despite the ask -
