Riverview at Nyack

My boyfriend and I absolutely love our new apartment! From the moment we moved in, we fell in love with how beautifully renovated, clean, and well-maintained everything is, along with the great amenities, we’ve always wanted a balcony, and the washer/dryer is amazing. I also love how they offer a free gym to use. Michelle and Jeff have been so kind, quick to respond and helpful whenever we've had questions or needed assistance. Our neighbors have also been incredibly friendly and welcoming. We couldn't be happier with our decision to move here! We will be building our life here together for a long time :)

Currently residing at this residence… this is my honest review since I moved here Oct 2024. Moved in mid month, move in was a nightmare. The apartment was not cleaned properly, and I still have paint stains all over my floor. Within the first two weeks I put in about 10 work orders for repairs. Since moving in there have been about 4 water shut offs ranging from 1-2hrs to an entire day. One of the water shut offs was due to a water main break in the village that had residents on a water boil notice for 5 days due to risk of bacteria contamination. The building did not alert residents of this, and I only knew about it because I signed up to receive town alerts. As a result of this Residents had no heat for an entire day during freezing weather. The water pressure is HORRIBLE! Sometimes in the mornings in order to get hot water I have to turn the water all the way to hot in order for the water to come up and this can take about 10 minutes. I’ve given up on complaining bc they don’t really care. Next the walls are PAPER thin, and I have the noisiest neighbors above me. The kitchen and bathrooms were renovated, but they were not grouted correctly. So there’s cracks all along the kitchen counters. The grout in the bathroom is already falling off around the tub, and the there’s crack on the bathroom walls. I’ve had to put in work orders and been told they work when they can. I had damaged screens in my bedroom, and was told that they were not going to be replaced bc they needed to be custom ordered. I couldn’t open my bedroom window for a month. I had to literally email and text almost daily, until the super literally removed the screen from an empty apartment to accommodate me. The person who runs the place commented on here and said the property is 5 stars to boost their ratings.- It’s not. The washer/dryer in the apartment shake my entire kitchen when in the spin cycle. My stove and fridge literally shake each time I do laundry. Anytime I walk my floors also creak, make unnecessary noise, and are uneven and old. There are multiple cracks in them too. There’s a lot of ppl with dogs in the community so be prepared to hear ALOT of dog barking all day. If you want peace and quiet, along with efficient work done when repairs are needed don’t come here. Lastly, the intercoms to the buildings don’t work and some doors don’t have peep holes so if you have guests coming over or they need parking be prepared for them to park in the street where it’s limited and for you to come to the front of the building each time. Sadly I was sold a dream. I saw the shell of the apartment in June and they made me wait months to lease only to come in and deal with these issues. Hoping my year is done quickly. Soon as my lease is done I’m outta here.

I recently moved into Riverview apartments and from day one Michelle and Freddy have been amazing, accommodating and responsive. Any questions or issues I had, I received prompt response and issues were handled. I feel very comfortable and at home due to them. The grounds are nicely maintained and buildings are always clean. My neighbors have been lovely as well. Overall very happy to be living in Riverview.

Riverview is a great place to live. Grounds are kept clean and maintained. Nice quiet community with welcoming neighbors. You can always reach the on site staff like Michell, who always helps with issues promptly.

Our 7 month experience at Riverview at Nyack has been overwhelmingly negative, with issues including poor communication, lack of accountability, constant repairs, and inadequate security. The apartment images circulating the internet are nothing but a fantasy. Water shutdown: Since our move, there have been 10 water shutdowns. Residents are informed of shutdowns as they are occurring. These shutdowns have occurred within the same week and can last up to 5 hours. After the water comes back on there are changes to the water color, temperature and pressure. It can take up to a day or two for the water to go back to “normal”. Parking issues: Assigned resident parking spots may be occupied by outside contractor cars without notice. The complex lacks designated areas for guests/outside contractors which also leads to double parking in the one-way lane which is shared with pedestrians. Courtyard: Residents with ESA/Service Animals are not allowed to walkthrough the courtyard. This leads dog owners to walk in the one-way lane. Recycling: The single recycling bin in the designated area is consistently full. It is impossible to recycle. Service requests: We have had three service requests submitted for our apartment. The issues we experienced were no heat and a malfunctioning washer machine. Maintenance informed us that a piece that controls the heat was rusty and had been ripped off. After “fixing it” we were informed that we were unable to control the heat in our apartment. When temperatures were at 63° this past week we had to turn on our AC. Our apartment reached 80° in December! We submitted a service request for our washer machine because it was only releasing hot water. Maintenance informed us that previous maintenance had incorrectly connected the hot water tube to the cold water tube. It took one month for the washer machine to be fixed. During that time I had to pay out-of-pocket to use the laundry room. Maintenance did graciously cover our laundry one-time. Overall, service requests on the resident portal display inconsistent completion statuses, which leads me to consistently chasing management/maintenance for an update about my requests. Stolen packages: While the front of the buildings do have blink cameras, I was informed that the courtyard cameras are just there for show. This past week I had a Christmas package disappear into thin air. Management was able to identify who bought in my package but mentioned that the resident did not take it. I had to yet again follow up with the management about the status of the investigation. Lastly, there is a noticeable amount of mold on the outside of the building.
