The MC Brooklyn – Bed-Stuy/Bushwick Apartments

I’ve had a great experience living at The MC Brooklyn in Bed-Stuy/Bushwick. The building is always kept exceptionally clean, and the common areas are well maintained. The staff is friendly, professional, and always willing to help whenever needed. A special shoutout to Nick, the superintendent, who does an outstanding job. He’s responsive, hardworking, and genuinely cares about the residents and the property. Any issues are addressed quickly and efficiently, which makes living here stress-free. The combination of a clean building, attentive staff, and an excellent super like Nick makes The MC Brooklyn a wonderful place to call home. Highly recommend!

Firstly shout out to the on-site manager for keeping the building in top shape. The building offers a truly exceptional living experience, the amenities are well kept. The staffs proactive responsiveness, genuine friendliness, and resident satisfaction ensure a seamless, comfortable, and truly welcoming atmosphere for everyone who calls The MC Brooklyn home.

Lived here for a year and honestly don’t think the experience matched the price. The biggest issue throughout my time here was management and communication. Starting with the leasing process, my experience with Kelly Ryan was extremely frustrating. We originally toured with a different leasing agent who was rushed but still helpful and made sure we had the information we needed. Kelly, on the other hand, was late, unresponsive, and often came across as though she didn’t want to be there. Whenever we had questions, it felt like getting clear answers was a challenge. For someone whose job is to help prospective tenants, the level of professionalism was disappointing. The move-in process was also a nightmare. We forgot to set up our Con Edison account before move-in, which was absolutely our mistake. We understood the building’s policy and weren’t expecting special treatment. The issue was that this was a brand-new building and we were among the first tenants, so there were problems with unit numbers and utility setup. Con Edison repeatedly stated they needed information from building management, including meter information, to get everything activated. Instead of helping resolve the issue, management was dismissive and seemed more interested in arguing about whose fault it was. What should have been a simple problem-solving conversation dragged on for two extra days, costing us additional time, money, and stress while all of our belongings sat in a moving truck. Moving out wasn’t much better. We emailed multiple times over a two-week period asking for move-out instructions and received little to no response. For a building that charges premium rents, I would expect a clear move-out process and basic communication. The building itself is fine, but the management experience consistently fell below expectations. At this price point, tenants should not have to chase management for answers during leasing, move-in, and move-out. That’s really the biggest reason I wouldn’t recommend living here.
