I’m so grateful for my time at The Hawthorne, it’s truly a hidden gem. The community is peaceful, quiet, and well-kept, and I always felt safe and at ease here. I want to give a heartfelt thank you to Joseph, the onsite manager, and Keith, the superintendent. Joseph was always kind, attentive, and professional, and Keith was responsive and reliable any time something needed fixing. Their care and consistency made a huge difference during my tenancy. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home, with great management and a calm environment, I highly recommend The Hawthorne!

I have been living at The Hawthorne Apartments in Valley Stream for just over 4 years. The building is clean, with friendly neighbors and an excellent on site manager Joseph LiCausi. Keith our superintendent is amazing as he Kees us running smoothly. I just renewed my lease for 15 months! I recommend The Hawthorne for your next residence.

My husband and I have lived at The Hawthorne for over 2 years and we feel so at peace living here. Keith is beyond exceptional and goes above and beyond to ensure the safety and cleanest is always intact. In addition the personal greetings from our building residents and the short walk/drive to the LIRR which makes The Hawthorne feel like home.

The Hawthorne is a beautiful building. The building is just as nice as the photos. The property manager Mrs. Demetra Davis is very knowledgeable and compassionate which makes the application process seamless. I am truly grateful for how diligent she was through each step. Mr. Keith gave me a thorough tour of the intercom system, parking lot and assisted me on move in day. I’m appreciative of both Mrs. Demetra and Mr. Keith for their assistance and their dedication to the Hawthorne Community.

My Fiancé and I relocated from South Florida to Long Island on December 2017. It's not easy finding in-room laundry, garage parking, and spacious units in New York and The Hawthorne Apartments had them all! The surrounding area is safe and there are lots of restaurants in walking distance. There are parks in all directions which are quiet and peaceful. Public transportation is also close by. The common areas come equipped with a pool table, gym and BBQ in the center of the building. The outdoor space is great for sunbathing and entertaining. I rarely see these areas in use and we can enjoy them to ourselves most of the time. Our car is garage-kept which is great to keep it out of the rain, snow and elements. The garbage is also indoors so no need to go outside. The neighbors are very friendly and greet you. It is a nice community. Pat was great accommodating our schedule and showing us around the unit and common areas. Our 1/1 unit is spacious with an open floor plan. The stainless steel appliances are modern and the kitchen has tons of cabinet and counter space. We were fortunate enough to secure a unit with a large 400 sq ft patio and a chic pergola. We have ample room for our couches and dining set. The walk-in closet has ample space and the bedroom is large enough for dressers and a California king size bed. We see Adrian the most around the property keeping things in order. He's very friendly and caring, always greeting us and our 5 lbs Yorkie, Rolo. In the past 7 months, we have only needed maintenance once and Keith came to the rescue immediately.
