I’ve been living here at RiverBend for almost 2 years and I honestly really love it! When I moved to this area, I was really nervous about how I would adapt etc but I truly couldn’t have chosen a better apartment. From the start, the RiverBend leasing team (David in particular) was just so helpful, communicated effectively and overall an awesome person to work with. I was handling the lease/application from states away, but he was so great about picking up the phone and guiding me along the way. Once I moved in, it’s been an amazing experience. The front desk staff have always been so friendly to not just me, but my dog Palmer as well! It feels good to walk in the door after a long day and being greeted by my name every day after a long day at work. Plus they always come out and give Palmer lots of pets and treats! It truly feels like a home, not just an apartment. Aside from the staff, you have all the amenities you need and the location (personally) I think is the best because you have the option to walk 5 minutes to the ferry, 5 minutes to the light rail, or the bus picks up right in front of the building! So getting into the city is never an issue. And if there’s ever a concern with your unit in itself, I have always had a great experience with the maintenance employees! Again, very responsive and always a great help. Overall, RiverBend is a lovely place to live and I’m so glad I chose this place as my home.

We’ve lived in Riverbend for some time now and here’s the number one thing you should know before choosing this building over others nearby. The number 1 reason you’re probably looking at this building is for the cheaper rent relative to others. The management knows that and they price it accordingly. Having lived here and in 4 other rentals nearby (Veris RH9, RH11), your PSEG bill more than makes up for the money you save here. My PSEG/utility bill used to avg $120/mon in the other buildings and over here it consistently goes above $400/month enough to question whether this older building is worth the $$ you’re trying to save. It’s something to do with older units or something I’m not sure, but to the cost sensitive person moving here cos this is cheaper - it’s not. You’d still find the units priced cheaper than others and to that I’d say you get what you pay for. Basic gym, relatively quiet and peaceful, good front desk, food / Walmart delivers outside your door, everything is good and nothing to complain about. The building itself is old and you shouldn’t be surprised if you get surprise leaks from the ceiling due to pipes bursting. I’ve seen it happen a couple of times and renters insurance should cover it. The leasing office folks are a mixed bag but so many of the other comments already point that out, so I won’t elaborate any further. Overall - it’s a nice place - almost dream to commute to NYC cos the bus picks up literally outside the building. But don’t expect anything more.

I applied for an apartment at 25 Riverbend and had a deeply frustrating experience! The written application agreement states that applicants must either show sufficient stable income or savings equal to 36× the monthly rent. I have well over 36× the rent in savings and provided documentation. In addition, I submitted an official offer letter from my future employer confirming my position and start date. Despite clearly meeting the financial requirement, Pedro Garcia continued to demand repeated employment verification. I complied in good faith, providing HR contacts, onboarding team email proof and direct contact, start date confirmation, and facilitating direct outreach from my future employer yesterday. While I was waiting on Pedro’s update throughout the day today. Dave took over my application, I was shockingly told that, based on his “findings,” I was considered an “ILLEGAL RESIDENT” with a FAKE SSN! At that point, what had already been a difficult application process escalated into an extremely serious and deeply concerning matter. I am a U.S. citizen and explicitly disclosed this in my application. A baseless allegation of this nature—especially coming from a leasing representative—is not only offensive but raises significant concerns about potential DISCRIMINATORY conduct!!! I personally felt intimidated during the conversation, as it was conveyed in a manner that suggested potential immigration consequences if I did not comply with his demands. Applicants deserve to be evaluated based on the written criteria and treated with professionalism and respect.

Very professional and informative tour with Dave Reiss. He is extremely knowledgeable about the amenities, was very kind, and took the time to answer all of my questions about the place! It was a freezing cold day when we had the tour so I appreciate the convenience of them being open on a Saturday when a lot of apartment leasing offices are not and Dave's knowledge of the process. Really helpful, especially when answering phone calls!

Very unprofessional meeting today with the leasing agent, Pedro. My partner and I as we were looking to move from Jersey City to West New York to improve our commute. The meeting started with a dispute taking place over the phone on speaker phone with another tenant or prospective tenant when he greeted me, and I was asked to walk away from the desk. Once that was settled, we went over the pricing and available units. Following the tour, I asked him for guidance on how to apply for the apartments, and he responded with “well, you just click the button on the…. You know what , I got you” No thank you email, no follow up on guidance, no support. I hope he improves his professionalism as he progresses in his career. Heavy construction taking place around the area; be aware of this when you head into the neighborhood. Main roads are closed and parking is very minimal. Other thoughts, if you want a community that has very little character or uniqueness, then this is for you. It seemed like a very cookie cutter, peaceful, highly controlled and monitored vibe. The neighborhood feels very safe aside from the enormous number of contractors in the area. If you want some diversity in terms of food or vibes, you will need to travel. Pros are proximity to the Light Rail, Buses and Ferry system if you commute into the city. Beyond that, it’s a bit vanilla.
