A wonderful building and an amazing staff. This is the best place I have ever seen.

My review concerns the building's contribution as a new neighbor on the street. First, kudos for the LiDL. It's a very nice store and, in my opinion, a marked improvement over Key. The CVS is also a welcome addition. I like the "Paseo" itself, which is well designed -- a pleasant little stroll. And the staff I've met in the garage and outside the residential entrance are very friendly. HOWEVER, I'm holding back two stars because -- like many of the new buildings in the Park Slope/Gowanus area -- 55 Paseo Place has a *monster HVAC* on its roof that emits a high-pitch whine 24-7. For the past few weeks, I've been able to imagine what it's like to suffer from tinnitus, i.e., a constant ringing in the ears. This noise can be heard at least a block away from any direction. Now, I suspect there is an adjustment to the machinery that can fix this sort of thing. And I look forward to revising my review upward once the relative silence of the pre-Paseo days is restored. * Update 02/28/26: I'm removing another star because, despite the reply below, the noise continues. And as it gets warmer, and therefore becomes possible to open the windows, it will become even harder for people in the surrounding homes to block out. * Update 03/13/26: I'm removing another star as the noise persists. * Update 04/22/26: The noise not only continues, it's now gotten even louder. Along Fifth Avenue in front of the building, the persistent piercing whine is sometimes unbearable. I tried to remove the final star, but Google won't allow it! Still, nothing has been done. And it seems pretty clear there is no intention of doing anything about it until the City intervenes.

Clearly are not eager to build rapport with potential tenants. Refused to show us units because we were uncertain if our move date.

The building is beautiful, the staff is so kind and patient, the community is very nice.
