Ocean Drive, Coney Island

I love the ocean view, which is honestly the main reason I tolerated paying nearly $5k/month to live here. The staff themselves are generally pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, almost everything else has been disappointing. The appliances are low quality and inefficient. The washer/dryer performs poorly. The window shades are flimsy, translucent, and the metal cords break easily. My biggest issue has been management. Communication is extremely poor, responses are nonexistent, and when they do respond, the tone is often dismissive or hostile. Jacob Ite and Elizabeth Morgan from Red Apple Realty/Management have been especially frustrating to deal with throughout my tenancy. I genuinely feel this building’s location and views are wasted on poor management. I also had serious safety concerns while living here. There was a homicide and violent assault in the building. You would think management would take tenant safety concerns more seriously after something like that, but unfortunately that was not my experience. I have been trying for months to get assistance regarding a safety concern and have been completely ignored. Another major issue involved the rent pricing. Before signing, the team reassured me over the phone that paying the net rent advertised on StreetEasy would not be an issue. Within months of moving in, management began demanding gross rent instead. The entire process felt misleading. Overall, the views are beautiful, but the management experience has been one of the worst I’ve dealt with. The only time management seems eager to communicate is when rent is due. Otherwise, tenants are treated as an inconvenience rather than people paying luxury-level rent to live here. Very excited for my lease to end.

Delivery drivers be AWARE: VERY VERY Rude security guard(white man in his thirties or forties with yellowish hair and beard). The building outside literally says to go to the service entrance and ring it for deliveries. I rang it a few times, and they didn't open it. And when he finally opened and I entered the building, he started yelling at me, acting like I'm in the wrong. I told him the sign outside says that deliveries and anything else are to enter via the service entry, not the main entry right outside, but apparently I don't know how to read, and he was belittling me. Even after I left, they kept talking poorly about me to their other colleagues. The building had video camera ring bells with intercom; he could literally have told me through the intercom if I needed to enter the main entrance. The person I delivered to, I told them about it, and they told me the security guard was in the wrong here because that's the rule by management and was even in my delivery instructions. Pretty clear he's looking down on me because I'm a delivery person and cuz of my skin color since he said a lot more stuff that I won't mention here.. I'm doing delivery job because I have no other choice, i majored in stem, I have a bachelor's, but with how ridiculous job requirements are nowadays, it's very hard to find a job( given AI has already took a good amount jobs away). I have two disabled parents, if I was not pressed for money I would have not done this job. My point is i'm a human being too just because I'm a delivery person doesn't mean I should get disrespected like this. I have video footage and audio recording of the interaction, pretty clear that the building's not doing much since I called the number on their site. But apparently it's just to contact leasing, there's no direct way to connect to management. Anyone else who's been through this should call the police. People like that security gaurd should not be allowed to work. I saw someone else left of a view of being treated similarly to myself. Apparently, if you don't live in that building, you're not going to be treated like human. Now, if I was living in that residence, i've been likely treated with sirs, and ma'am respectfully.

The sun will kiss you every morning, this place has such a modern luxury feel. The ceiling to floor windows in the 3 bedroom kitchen is such a sight to see! I feel so close to nature ☺️. If you want to enjoy watching the sunset on the beach while wining down Ocean Drive is more than happy to have you ✨ Absolutely stunning!!!

We absolutely love living at Ocean Drive. My wife says it’s like coming home to a cruise ship. The building is run well. If there are any problems, they are quickly resolved. The doormen are top notch and will bend over backward for you. Management is quick to improve any issues. The realtors are great. We had Christine who is amazing. We love seeing her and have made friends with her and the others as well. She showed me places multiple times until I got the place we wanted. They throw building events (which usually means free and tasty food) on the deck overlooking the ocean or in the rec room. Christine found us our dream place and the other agents (Senada and Irina) have made it clear they care about helping us have a place that we love to come home to! I could name so many doormen (Baki, Eldin, Patty, Tatyana, and Kim, among others) and Wayne in security, all of whom have done anything they can to improve our life. Hats off to the team. I highly recommend living here.

I have had the pleasure of residing at Ocean Drive for over two years now, and I must say it has been an exceptional experience. The prime location, in close proximity to both the beach and the amusement park, has added immense value to my life. The unforgettable sunset views, which grace us with their beauty in every season, are simply breathtaking. Every evening, I am treated to the soothing symphony of ocean waves, the picturesque bridges, passing boats, and the graceful seagulls that collectively transport me to the ambiance of a five-star vacation resort. Despite my demanding work schedule, I find solace and complete relaxation upon returning to my home at Ocean Drive. This place is truly remarkable, offering an array of amenities that rival those of a luxury resort. The swimming pool, fitness room, and lounge area have been my sanctuaries for unwinding and rejuvenation. Additionally, the beautiful terrace area often hosts delightful gatherings for residents, complete with complimentary pizza provided by the building management—a thoughtful gesture that fosters a sense of community. Furthermore, the presence of a friendly and attentive team at the reception and leasing office has consistently made me feel at ease. I must give special commendation to Senada, whose innovative ideas have played a pivotal role in creating a warm and harmonious community here. She is undoubtedly the best sales and service professional I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. In conclusion, my time at Ocean Drive has been nothing short of wonderful, thanks to its exceptional location, top-notch facilities, and the dedicated individuals who make this community feel like home.
