Since our first tour with Alex, to date, we have nothing but good things to say about 650 First. We immediately felt welcome, greeted by Mavis, who took the time to show off the history of the building in the lobby whilst showing us to the elevator with a warm smile and positive energy (without really having a clue who we were). We took our tour with Alex, who surprised us with a wide array of available units that included open spaces, wonderful lighting, and a solid array of amenities. The new build is unbeatable! I had been a resident of the neighborhood for about 5 years, so I already enjoyed the area, which is, despite its sometimes questionable reputation, quite lovely. Removed enough from the buzz of grand central, but close enough to be relevant and accessible to a multitude of modes of transport (Metro north/grand central, ferry, blade helicopter, buses, bike station across the street). This building also has a nice roof-deck/fitness center with a solid view of the east river (not to mention the sweeping city views from our actual apartment - Empire State Building, Vanderbilt One, and a comprehensive mix of urban bliss + views of St. Vartan park and other lovely greenery). Fast forward a few weeks filled with swift leasing office responses (shoutout Alex and Chris!), great accommodation, and plenty of stories to highlight how the building gives a homey yet refined vibe, we couldn’t be happier. We adore our apartment so far, with the lavish bathrooms, expansive floor to ceiling windows, and the beautiful kitchen w/ a massive breakfast bar. It really made our New York City dream feel so real. And if that weren’t enough, we were (and continue to be) blown away by how pet friendly the building is. Each and every staff member (special shoutout Mavis, Ray, and Christine!) adores our dog and treats him like a king. It made his adjustment from the suburbs that much easier. Even the staff managing the facilities/repairs/etc. get along with him so well (even if he barks like a looney tune when they are fixing something in the bedroom…). Furthermore, we had a dog walker recommendation that we have been using from them who also loves our dog (shoutout Dyren!). The full package. It just keeps getting better and better for us, so a huge thank you to everyone here and the lovely residents that we’ve met so far for making our NYC experience that much better. Thrilled to keep spending time here as we settle into our new home.

Amanda deserves an award for the best agent of the year. Despite the ordinary charm of this building, we have not been convinced nor persuaded by this lovely Amanda, her sweet insults, her beautiful rudeness to live there. However if you’d like a contemptible and bitter agent, you definitely should go there and ask for Amanda!

This building is absolutely beautiful. The fact that it’s a renovated space that preserves the original style of the Kips Bay Brewing Company makes it even more special and unique. I mean, who doesn’t love a nice cold beer? 🤠Living in a place where it was actually made, and that carries such a unique history, makes the experience even more interesting. The building itself is stunning, and the staff is exceptional—from the leasing office to the entire team. Everyone is professional, friendly, and helpful from the very beginning.

The friendliest apartment complex. The front desk team I've met so far, Mavis and Ray, are absolutely incredible. They helped me move in while I was on crutches, and they are always offering their help/support with the kindest attitude. Amanda helped me tour, and she was also such a welcoming person. Seriously so grateful to have found this place in the city.

I was so lucky to find this apartment and couldn't be happier with my selection! To start, Amanda was so kind and helpful with showing me multiple different available units and was super understanding and helpful in the process of paperwork and getting the application through. The move in process was seamless and I have only had great experiences with the people who work here. Diego the super has been so helpful when needed and Mavis and Ray at the front desk are incredible. Extra shout out to Mavis, who ALWAYS has a smile on her face and is such a breath of fresh air to chat with in the mornings.
