Let this be the main points - Roaches , Black Mold , and leaking your personal information online ( yes your social security number and financial information). Rock rose leaked their tenants data online , and didnt even let their tenants know. 1 bedrooms go for 5k , your better off renting on vernon blvd , the landlords there will charge u an actual reasonable price for rent without the black mold or roaches. When we confronted management with these concerns they deflected and told us to call corporate. No remediation, they will break their side of the lease and expect you to uphold your part.

“Defected” from Manhattan to LIC and so far is a welcome change. It’s considerably further to the subway than my Manhattan-commuting peers but is made up by the river view and surprising convenience of the ferry. Elevator and construction status is not a complaint in Dec 2025 but I expect subject to change. For the right price and roommate it’s a pleasant place to call home.

I’ve lived at 4705 Center Blvd for about a year now and have had a really positive experience overall. The building is well maintained, clean, and feels thoughtfully managed. One of the biggest highlights is the amenities — the gym, spa/sauna, lounge spaces, and other common areas are all excellent and actually well cared for, not just for show. I especially like the terrace with nice views of the Manhattan skyline that you can enjoy while grilling! The staff and doormen are consistently friendly and helpful, and the building has a welcoming, community feel. The location is also hard to beat — right by the waterfront with easy access to transit and everything LIC has to offer. I genuinely enjoy living here and plan to stay. I’d definitely recommend 4705 Center Blvd to anyone considering the area

As a guest, I've always enjoyed visiting my friends who live in this building. However, I've personally seen the low elevator availability problem that others report. Used the gym when I visited in June, and it was okay. The pool was closed at 11am because the lifeguard wasn't on duty. As with any other NYC apartment, the space isn't huge. I live in suburban California, so surely not by those standards. Good views of the Manhattan skyline, and they have a roof deck on the 7th floor. Also have a gaming room, golf simulator, peloton room, social media content creation room.

DO NOT MOVE HERE. This is a WARNING for all prospective tenants as well as any current tenant that is even entertaining the thought of renewing here. This building is an ACTIVE construction zone. I have never hated living anywhere more than I hate it here. This building was built in 2007, which is nearing it's 20 year mark. The building is not only showing its age, but poor installations of necessary equipment, namely the elevators are routinely breaking down. As mentioned in another review, there are only 4 elevators for 30 floors, 1 being out since September/October. Thousands of tenants, plus guests, delivery people, etc. rely on the elevators which means there's a constant flow of people using the elevators. The elevators are breaking down constantly, multiple times a day in fact. Please refer to the pictures attached which show the elevators out of service - photos were taken on multiple dates. Don't believe me? Look at the 311 complaints against this building - there are 12 and counting reports for just the elevators alone this year. As of today, there is only 1 operating elevator. You need to CALL someone at the front desk (the number is not available to anyone, you would have to get it from a neighbor) and they are manually operating the elevator to pick up residents and make stops. The management is "aware" of the issue but they try to sugarcoat it by issuing a boilerplate email with a measly "sorry for the inconvenience" message, while not offering residents any kind of assistance or concession. Current residents are having to bear the brunt of all these issues, with no single fix or detailed plan of how these elevators will be fixed. This is indicative of a larger issue of the management not caring at all about residents. They're providing a horrible experience for residents and trick new residents by not sharing any information on the extent of the construction or broken elevators here. All they care about is filling vacancies, and the leasing team/management is trained in the same fashion. It is clear that there's SIGNIFICANT work that is/needs to be done in this building, however they will continue to hike up rents and provide a terrible living experience in what is considered a "luxury" building. DO NOT believe a single word of what leasing or management tells you. They lie to your face, and do not care how inconvenienced you are. If you are disabled or have children, think about not being able to get downstairs at all on a given day. As I mentioned, elevators are out or broken DAILY. I walked past one of the elevators the other day with an individual who was stuck and was desperately banging on the doors to let him out and they were pleading and screaming help.FDNY has been called here on more than one occasion. There is no community board, no staff or representatives of the building to even talk to. The building manager is absolutely cold and will scoff or rudely respond to emails, again showing their disdain and carelessness for paying residents. You are just a number to these people, they do not care about you the minute you finish signing your lease. AVOID at all costs. As mentioned, there is significant work being done, with hallways being torn down, painted, construction, units being demolished, etc. They are incredibly slow at making any progress, so you will walk in and out of an active construction zone everyday. It's embarrassing to even invite guests. All existing tenants have to bear the drilling, construction, and awful state of the building - they're getting ready to hike up rents in the summer so they can sell the vision of a "modernized" building but rest assured, there is not end in sight for the level of work being done. DO NOT MOVE HERE. This is all based on my day to day experience living here and i'll do my part to warn future tenants so they don't make the grave mistake I did. No one should ever HATE the place they live or call home. I can't or ever will call this place home, and neither should you.
