This property offers a fantastic living experience, highly praised for its prime location close to downtown amenities, unique and spacious units, and a generally quiet atmosphere with good soundproofing. Residents often highlight the responsive management and maintenance teams, who are quick to address issues and contribute to a strong sense of community. While some older units might feel a bit dated and hot water can be inconsistent, and parking is limited to one spot per unit, these are minor points compared to the overall positive living experience.

I’ve lived in The Hudson for a few years now. I have enjoyed my time and appreciate our management (Chelsey is top notch and literally gets things done the right way- very responsive and respectful) we also have a maintenance guy, Sean, who is always working hard and incredibly kind. The building is old and interesting but everything has always worked and the other tenants are always funny, quirky, chatty, and happy to see each other. Renting here is great for the location, the people, and the management team. I recommend living here!

I had a great experience at The Hudson. Great building with tons of personality and great location. All of the staff (especially Chelsey) were extremely helpful and responded right away. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great spot close to everything in downtown Troy.

Awful management, terrible elevators, good luck if you live with a partner or housemate the apartments only amenity (parking) is limited to a single spot that you can't share between cars, repairs are slow and then when you hassle them to get you non draining plumbing fixed they get mad that you submitted too many tickets (2). The windows were incredibly hard to open (fire hazard) because they were landlord specialed. Oh and this corporation with like full time employees and stuff, doesn't understand that NY law requires them to return your security deposit within 14 days. I got mine back after that timeframe elapsed. If you have to live here, know your rights as a tenant and don't be afraid to exercise them. Tldr; stay away from any Judge or Pantera properties.

I lived at The Hudson for 4 years. I spent 1 year in a 2bed/1bath (2 floors) unit, which was a little more outdated than we had wanted but loved the location of the building and how big the unit was. After a year in that unit, we moved to one of the 2bed/1bath penthouse suites that was recently renovated, modern, lots of natural light, and had in-unit laundry. The penthouse unit also had floor to ceiling windows in the living room and bedrooms along with a massive bathroom and gorgeous views of both the Hudson River and River Street. There is a private parking lot in the back and allows one car per unit to be parked there and they promptly plow during the winter months. For more than one car, you have to pay to park in the parking garage located next door. The building is within walking distance to cafes, bars, restaurants, and shops. During the summer, there is the farmers market on Saturdays which can make the streets crowded and busy but a great amenity for those who enjoy that sort of thing. As for the units themselves, each floorplan is different which adds character. In the 4 years I lived here, I rarely heard even a peep from the neighbors. It is overall a very quiet building and the walls are extremely soundproof. Management was amazing and was always responding to the rare maintenance requests I had. The property manager usually showed up within hours even if it wasn't an emergency. The only small, nit-picky, downside to the building is the hot water never really got hot, just warm, and didn't last very long at all, but overall not a deal-breaker. Whenever an issue of any sort did pop-up, management and leasing agents did everything in their power to promptly solve the issue and did an amazing job. Special shoutout to Amalia and Sean who did so much for us in our time there. Genuinely felt so at home living here for 4 years.

Management is absolutely amazing. They are always quick to respond to issues, give courtesy calls for things like parking lot plowing/moving your car, and even gifted their residents with wine from a local winery for the holiday season this year. Maintenance is also awesome. The staff resides in the building so they feel like a part of the community. All of our maintenance requests have been completed within 24 hours. Staff is also very trustworthy so there have been multiple times I have let them know they are welcome to let themselves into my apartment for maintenance even when I am at work. The building is cleaned every day of the week, so I've never seen a cleanliness issue in the common areas. Appliances within the unit are great and in good condition. We love the hardwood flooring which is super easy to clean. We have a medium and small window in our living room and we get plenty of natural light facing the river. My only real complaint is that the corner and end units (like ours) seem to have a hard time staying warm in the winter; we had our pipes freeze a couple times but were thawed within hours, thanks to maintenance. I imagine this is due to the nature of the historic brown stone building. Rent per square foot can be high, but the floor plans are truly unique. I wish laundry was available in unit as opposed to a shared area, but I can't really complain about that since most apartment buildings share laundry space. I have already recommended this building to multiple grad school friends looking for housing for the coming year. Judge Development runs a great community; this building is perfect for grad students!
