This student housing offers a vibrant community atmosphere and convenient proximity to campus, with many appreciating the included amenities like a gym, pool, and free coffee, which are great for student life. However, residents frequently report significant issues with unreliable Wi-Fi, often disrupting crucial study times, and recurring maintenance problems, including unaddressed mold, broken appliances, and frequent false fire alarms, which can negatively impact daily living and safety.

Extremely disappointed with the leasing office's untrustworthy billing practices and completely unjustified late fees. As an international tenant, I always prepay my rent at the end of the preceding month because international wire transfers are complicated and time-consuming. On August 31, I visited the office multiple times to confirm my balance for September. Staff gave me a total that only included rent, trash disposal, damage insurance, and electricity, which I paid in full on the spot. However, on September 4, additional charges suddenly appeared on my account with zero notification—partly because management delayed updating my August 18 signed lease in their system until September 4. To make matters worse, the system's timestamps seem completely manipulable: these new fees added on September 4 were backdated to August, even though they were nowhere to be found when I checked my portal on September 3. On top of that, the late fee added on September 6 wasn't even calculated based on the unpaid $214 balance, but rather on the entire monthly rent—which I had already paid in full! To add to the frustration, inquiries sent through their official email system go almost completely unanswered. Penalizing tenants for management's own administrative delays, lack of communication, and questionable accounting practices is deeply frustrating. I strongly advise all current and prospective tenants to stay vigilant and keep strict records of everything

I usually don’t leave reviews like this, but I am incredibly frustrated. The beginning of my time at The Hue was fine! I had no issues minus a few damages that were present in my room and the mold growing on our vents. However, as time passed my roommate and I received less communication and distance towards the building management. At one point, our power was out for almost a week and we had no lights or AC. Another, our door battery died and we were recommended to leave our door deadbolted when we weren’t home…absolutely not. Algae coming out of sinks and showers, paint ripping off walls, lint traps not being cleaned out and a fire hazard. I really wanted to enjoy my time here. And to top it off recently we were charged a very large bill that wasn’t even correct! I would really prefer to have my money back. For 4-5 months I have been trying to contact the apartment about previous damages, and have only received one response, and then was met with silence again. My roommate has sent multiple emails, calls, PAPER MAIL! And has been met with nothing. I am begging The Hue to do better. I have tried, but this is negligence at this point, and I am disappointed for how much money I spent here this year.

I love living here. The staff is very professional and very personable friendly people. The property manager Averyon, her personality is just so inviting. The front desk staff are welcoming too. If encounter issues they are quick to respond and assist me. My rent is affordable and we have great amenities such as, free coffee, a gym, a pool, lounge/study area etc. Perfect for college students!! ;)

It feels like you’re living in a cheap, dirty college dorm. Even though you’re paying a price set for a nice apartment. It feels like they should pay you to live there. Do yourself a favor and live somewhere else!

The person below my apartment found mold and water damage in her apartment on Sunday. It is now Wednesday, and maintenance still hasn't come (even though they are aware of the situation). I tried calling The Hue today to see if maintenance would come, but as soon as I said 'mold,' they hung up on me. We are living in an unsafe environment, and The Hue isn't doing anything. Don't live here. Follow up: The leak was not fixed until I moved out. It started in April and got fixed in August. 4 MONTHS!! Mold grew, floor boards came off until it was just concrete floors. Every time I did the laundry my feet would be soaked by water. Everyone in the building was aware of this (because I talked to ALL OF THEM about the leak) I eventually went to talk to the manager of the building because nothing was being done (this was maybe a month into the leak). The manager told me to 1. calm down 2. the problem will be solved ASAP because it is a top priority. IT TOOK 3 MORE MONTHS AND ME MOVING OUT FOR IT TO BE “FIXED”!! Absolutely BS... After moving out, my life is 10 times better. The Hue is actually a living hell.
