Students generally find this community to be a welcoming and peaceful place to live, with a friendly and responsive staff who are quick to address inquiries and maintenance needs. The location is often praised for its convenience to downtown while offering a relaxed atmosphere, and many appreciate the ongoing renovations and amenities like the pool, gym, and dog park. However, some residents have experienced issues with maintenance backlogs, particularly concerning AC repairs and unresolved leaks, and there have been concerns about inconsistent communication regarding property updates and amenity availability.

The leasing staff, Brittany and Najeera were welcoming, helpful and supportive to me in my efforts to lease an apartment there. They were willing to go the extra mile by providing me with their expertise in choosing the right space for my needs. I’ve never felt so welcomed and looked after. Their patience and kindness was only exceeded by the amazing renovation of the apartment I eventually moved into. I would recommend living at The George to anyone who is seeking a beautiful and peaceful place to live!

Edit from September of my 8th year here. Do NOT move here unless you want to experience almost 2 months of broken AC and near 2 months of of a leak and mold unresolved. I've tried to be so understanding but the leak started pouring down JULY 12th! Nothing has been resolved since and most we've gotten was "keep your bathroom door closed until we can get an appraisal out there." Almost TWO MONTHS later with no quick resolution in sight and all this mold building up in a bathroom we don't even use at this point.... get it together... September will mark my 7th year of living at The George (previously Residents at St George) and I have to say my opinion is mixed. Primarily, because ownership has changed a handful of times over the past few years, and previous owners were terrible. This review is meant to focus on the current owners. I know they took over a lot of neglect from Nepali and I'm so happy to see they are investing time and money into renovating and remodeling areas of the complex (new asphalt for the parking lot, renovations to the pool and leasing office) to me that tells me they are actually invested in the property unlike previous owners that didn't do anything around here. That being said there are aspects from back in the day that I'd like to see come back. The first few years we lived here, they actually use to have pest control come about every 3-4 months and actually spray each unit. That stopped ages ago under old ownership, and it would be nice to see that return. Another thing that happened today was the minimal notice of the power washers' arrival. They sent an email out about a week ago, which many of us hadn't seen. So many people are coming out confused, rushing to get their chairs, plants, and other belongings out of the way. Even the power washers are calling a break because of how many people are coming out. In all our time here, previous owners have not only sent emails but also left flyer notices on doors or on the pillars of the units they would be coming to in advance. When my husband went to the office to find out what was going on and why they didn't put out a physical notice, they claimed they didn't have time. How is that OK? You guys found time to put physical notices out about the asphalt but not about this bleach power washing? I know a towed vehicle is more expensive than damaged patio furniture, clothes, or plants, but still. That being said, it does feel like the location has improved compared to a couple years ago. I hope I can come back to edit this review in the future and keep adding stars but right now I'm still weary.

I absolutely love living at The George! The community is beautiful, well maintained, comfortable, and genuinely feels like home. The staff has always been friendly, responsive, and wonderful to deal with, and I truly appreciate the care that goes into keeping this such a great place to live. I’m very happy here—and after living in a lot of different places over the years, I don’t say that lightly! Five very enthusiastic stars from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I do NOT live at The George yet! However, I wanted to leave a 5 star review for Najara's touring services. She was so personable, answered all of my prying questions and was super patient when we asked to circle back to tour another part of the community we missed. Thank you for being so awesome, not all of the tours we have had in Savannah have had such great service!

I really appreciate Najara and Brittany. They both went above and beyond helping me get in to the apartment. It was so much going on around my circumstances, but they came through and at the very last minute, literally, everything fell through! Thank you Najara for you bright smile and welcoming me in showing me the apartments and from the very beginning claiming that it was mine. I appreciate you more than you know. Thank you Brittany for your light hearted attitude and the patience of a bull lol. Y’all have made my day and year.
