This is an absolutely horrifying place to live. Before I had to vacate my apartment here early due to leaks, mold, and structural damage to the building I lived in. I need to warn people about this place. If you’re reading this, be prepared for a long list of why you need to live somewhere else. 1. Leasing Team The management company that owns this place goes through so many employees. It is a revolving door of people who are not qualified and not prepared to deal with the wide range of issues within the property. It is almost impossible to get ahold of anyone in the leasing office. I had to walk up there in person so often to check on updates related to maintenance due to no one answering phones. If you try to call about an issue and you happen to get referred to Kinesha for ANY reason, you need to contact Hawthorne Residential Partners so you can deal with someone else. Apart from her being rude and dismissive, she also has no idea what’s going on. The whole time I lived there and tried to speak with her about the many issues I had, the response I always got was that she either doesn’t know what to do, or acts like she has no idea when or how any issues would be resolved. 2. Mail Boxes/Mail Room It took TWO MONTHS for me to get my mail box keys. According to Kinesha, when I first moved in they were switching out all of the keys and locks to the mail boxes and of course she had no idea when that process would be finished. I had to go to the post office to request in person pickup so they would make sure I was able to receive important documents and bills. Some of which were already returned to the sender because the post office said they couldn’t send me my mail to the complex due to the issues with the locks. This is a LEGAL issue. Any complex this big is supposed to provide a place for residents to get their mail. It Took two months for me to get a set of keys. The mail room where you receive packages has a screen outside where you have to scan a QR code to get in. This has been broken so many times I lost track. 3. Structural Damage/Mold I had to vacate my unit prior to the end of my lease due to a leak from the apartment above me. When I noticed the leak and let the maintenance person know while they were fixing something unrelated in my unit, they told me they’d let the office know immediately. The leak got worse, mold was growing and parts of my ceiling started coming down. Water started pouring down the walls in my apartment, damaging some of the art work I had hung up. I called the leasing office to no avail, so I decided to call the management company that owned the complex, and they informed me that the maintenance person never reported it. Several people came to document and check on the extent of the damage, and found ANOTHER LEAK that was damaging my floor as well. The mold had spread so much by this time and I was getting sick all of the time. After going to the doctor and letting them know I was experiencing respiratory issues, I informed them of the mold that was found in my apartment, and they told me that was a dangerous situation to be in. This is such an extensive issue that it’s causing the buildings to fall apart, the carports are literally caving in from the water damage. So if you move here, consider your health and the damage to your property that this will cause. 4. Appliances The entire time I lived here I experienced issues with almost every appliance in my apartment. My dryer was broken for almost two months. At this time, I was in constant contact with Kinesha who kept telling me that there was nothing she could do, and that she would let me know when they could find a way to fix it. That’s insane. The A/C had issues, the plumbing, the garbage disposal, everything. And it took so long for each issue to be resolved, with very little communication from the leasing and maintenance teams. Ultimately I’ve rented apartments all over Savannah for nine years now, I have never come across one that was as bad and dangerous as this one.

On a tour I experienced one of the worst experiences in general. Dirty stair wells and poor customer service.
