The Retreat at Garden Lake

I recently lived here for 2 years and decided to end my lease for more space and a better move. Did not tour the actual apartment which I should’ve. That is on me, but there were some issues with the apartment upon arrival that I notated on the initial inspection form. I will say at this point you’d be safer bringing a state licensed inspector with you to view the apartment because they will charge you out of the wazoo when you do your final inspection! They detailed things that didn’t even make sense on my form. I do not like the conduct of certain staff, including certain maintenance members. The pool is nice, but it’s often dirty/trashed. Nice neighbors, I have never had any issues with my safety. Trash… don’t even get me started. You’d be better serviced taking your items to the dump. Trash and bug fees are going to be useless at this location, basically highway robbery goes on here. Nice that they have food trucks on site, but very few fun events throughout the year.

ROACHES !! It’s mentally exhausting to deal with especially considering the fact they aren’t consistent with getting it sprayed . We’ve put in 4 different requests for exterminator and only have been seen once . They will tell you the request have been “completed” even if no one has came to spray ! These buildings are old and infested with them .

Office personnel has ZERO CUSTOMER service. They have online portal to file maintenance service need. They even have the option ASAP, but you still have to call else they will not respond to your maintenance request. It seems that no one is reading maintenace requests. If this post is deleted they only want good posts.

This is an established community of loyal residents. In this community the children still play outside while the parents can keep a distant eye on their children. Safety is compounded with a few Police Officers choosing to call this their home. Lastly, the Magmt and Maintenance staff are concerned when something needs their attention. If this sounds great, call them and schedule your tour but please know space is limited.
